DSD TECH 4 Channels Bluetooth Relay Module for Remote Control Switch Compatible with iPhone and Android 4.3 (12V)

I use this 4 channel bluetooth relay in my truck. I absolutely hate having switches in random spots all over my dash, and this takes care of that for me. No switches on the dash and no mess of wires running through my firewall. I used an add a fuse on a circuit that is only on when the key is on to supply power to the board. That way someone can't walk by and turn the relays on when the truck is parked. I have the boards relays wired to four 40 amp relays to control a transmission cooler fan, a light bar, a fuel transfer pump, and an extra if I add something down the road. I modified a thin tool case to protect it from moisture and weather and mounted it under my hood. I have had no issues with it. It's been through negative tempatures in the winter and through the hot days of summer and has not failed. It has also been down some rough jarring roads and not failed. If my phones go down there are buttons on the board to manually turn on and off each circuit as a backup. I have an Android phone and an iPhone. Both pair quick and flawlessly every time. I'd highly recommend this bluetooth relay and the DSD Tech Bluetooth app. I also have the DSD Tech 2 channel version in a different vehicle used in the same way. It's also been tough and never given me any trouble. I think I'll buy a couple more for projects around the house. These bluetooth relays are amazing!

Works really well to turn on lights or other circuits remotely from your phone.If you don't know what a relay is, it's a low powered switch that turns on a higher powered circuit. This unit does it via bluetooth and their free app. The app is basic but does the job (you can't rename the 4 relays, which would be nice).I installed this in the battery compartment of my 5th wheel RV trailer. I wired up small led side lighting to 2 of the relays and then my reverse light's higher brightness wire to another relay. So now I can just tap "all" on my phone and boom! I can light up all around my trailer when I'm backing up or just packing up at night.

I appreciate the details about the commands to send, but it would be nice to know where to write them to! I would leave 5 stars if it weren't for the omission of this detail!This is a nice device for the price!

I only tested it just after receiving the board. It worked with the directed app . I have not connected to the device I wanted it to control. To hot to work in the 90 degree shop lolIt’s a very nice unit

Bought to use with android head unit to control accessories in car, but app will not function on either of them. Works ~OK~ with my mobile, but glitchy when it loses connection, which it does easily beacause of its short range.

I was going to using this device as a means to tune a motorized antenna, but no effin' way now.1. The app is a security nightmare. It shouldn't need location services at all to simply pair with the device.2. Once the app is installed and executed, there's no pairing via user involvement. If you attempt to pair it normally, you'll get an error you can't resolve. This, of course, is not true when using a Windows device.3. There's absolutely no way the application can know the PIN of the device prior to pairing, so that means that ALL OF THESE DEVICES share the same PIN. Think about that for just a second.4. There _might_ be a way to change the PIN of the device if there was a way to use the DSDTECH-Tools, but there's no way to interface with the module.5. Where's the source for the 'app' so we can add additional features, like PIN change, and switching from latching to momentary?If you want something to work as you think it should, this is not the device for you.It's not quite the device for anyone, really...
