As this is a new specification, it was difficult to find a suitable last minute practice book for my child's GCSE exam this summer. As she already knows and likes the layout an content of CGP books, we picked that one straight away with a matching revision book. The final exam is tomorrow. Fingers crossed for the results. The only downside is the book was not available for an evening delivery so it arrived next day

I was a bit confused when I received this because it doesn't look like the product. I was supposed to get an exam practice workbook for GCSE Edexcel Statistics, I got the revision guide. However, this is a great revision guide for people doing GCSE statistics. It is quite thick and covers so many more topics than I thought. It is split into many sections, which makes this easier for revising.1) planning data collection2) collecting data3) representing data -4) analysing and interpreting data5) analysing and interpreting diagrams6) probability7) probability distributionsEach of these sections covers more than ten separate topics, and they all fully go into detail about the questions and equations. After each section, there is a revision summary page, and it asks you key questions that basically overviews the whole section. There is also a tick box which helps you to keep score so you know what to revise more and what you know well.Also in the book, it fully explains how to answer each question, and also gives you different ways to see which one is easier/better/quicker for you. This book also comes with answers at the end of the book, which I didn't think it would have since it was such a thick book. It also comes with an index to help you find what you are looking for.I think this book is great value for money, and I would definitely recommend if you need help with your studies.

I also recommended purchasing this book during your studies to use throughout your studies (rather than using it just preparation for the exam).I have a number of CGP books and I have always impressed with the quality. In my option they are the best revision books you can buy.Excellent value for money.Would strongly recommend and I will continue to buy more from CGP in the future.
