Don’t let the size fool you
I was excited to order this saw- I’ve seen similar ones for years on Lee Valley and never pulled the trigger on one for lack of necessity. I’ve been planning a lot of dwv work at home for this year and decided it would be nice to have something effective for cutting all that pvc and abs. I happened to stumble across a similar saw and remembered reading how quickly these saws chew through plastic, and despite the diminutive size of the saw it is quite capable. I opened the packaging and was a little concerned initially that I had received a used saw. The handle had some specks of dirt and metal shaving embedded into it, and the cardboard sheath looked a little bent/ creased as if it hadn’t just been sitting nicely in a warehouse somewhere. I picked off the metal shavings and removed the blade from the sheath and to my surprise the teeth looked brand new and unused. Upon handling the handle portion I realized the material is actually a bit soft and grippy- I expected more of a hard plastic material. I assume this was maybe dropped at some point in a dirty warehouse and the soft handle would readily pick up debris. No big deal- it will see more dirt than what had accumulated before shipping. I tested it out on several pieces of pvc and this thing chews through despite its small stature. It fits nicely inside of a medium to large tool bag, the cardboard sheath does a pretty fine job of protecting the teeth and other objects from the teeth, the saw is comfortable to use and hold, and it just flies through pipe. Would not be very good for flush cutting because of the way the teeth are set unless you were using a piece of scrap to avoid damaging whatever surface you are cutting flush to. It also cuts a fairly wide kerf, but for the speed and agility of this saw it’s a small price to pay. My second favorite part of the saw (aside from how well it cuts) is the handle. It is comfortable. The handle makes the saw feel like a true extension of your hand, and the pinky notch at the bottom of the handle fits more like a hook than a notch and really melds the saw into your hand. It feels very secure and the handle makes the tool even more of a pleasure to use. I haven’t had to change the blade yet but it looks quite simple. At this price point you can’t afford not to have one of these.

Great saw - practical, cuts great, gets in tight areas. Durable. A+++
I got a single blade version of this saw back in Feb 2022. Used it often, it's one you reach for, for all kinds of jobs: PVC, 2x4s, trim, even cutting dried great stuff. After over 2 years, I was fixing a sink, taking a leaky drain out, couldn't get the nuts off and it was in an area up near drain that a hacksaw wouldn't reach. The over 2 year old well used blade cut through steel pretty fast. Yes, it wrecked the blade (the middle one), you can see the 2022 saw with the dirty handle. Loved and used this saw enough, that I went and got another with 5 spare blades (pictured below) this week. I'm not paid to post this, this is a saw I for and use and did buy again. Worth consideration.

Great little saw
I mostly use this saw for small pieces of wood, which it excels at cutting. Also works on pvc. Comfortable handle, smooth and flush cuts. Great buy.

Good but not great.
Product works as described. Decent saw, not the same quality as the "jones stephens" brand but it definitely gets the job and makes quick work of pvc foam core. Also be careful, the blade binds up and curves easily.

Excellent Saw, definitely the best value
I’ve used a Vaughan bear saw for ages. Blade eventually became compromised due to slip up and grinding upon metal.trying to find good deals on replacement blades until I stumbled across this.I could buy two of these maybe even three for the cost of a new Vaughn blade. The teeth are super sharp. We’ll see how they hold up.either way I’m happy.

Great quality, Easy to use, Sharp teeth
Japan really produces some great products, and this saw is certainly one of them. The handle is comfortable and holds the blade steadily. The blade arrived in proper condition and very straight. The blade's teeth were perfect for easily cutting through ABS and PVC pipe. I cut through 2-inch pipe within 30 seconds or so. So long as you maintain good technique, you'll find this saw very easy to use. It's made cutting in close quarters easier for me. I prefer using this in tight spaces (when possible), rather than a wire saw.
