Q: May I use this to add a subwoofer to an old 2 channel receiver? Receiver only has 4 speaker level outputs (A&B).

And the answer is YES. Sorry for the wait, but I had to wait for the reply from my GEEK friend who installed this item.

Q: Will it still work without the control knob?

Yes but why? That knob is extremely beneficial and is the reason I chose this converter.

Q: where does the bass level knob connect? the amp or the converter....pic doen't show

The knob will connect to the LOC2SL. If you have additional questions, please call Scosche at (800)363-4490 Ext 1.

Q: I need to run audio from a stereo receiver via 14 gauge speaker wire into another stereo receiver. Is this device what I need?

Yes, this device should work to turn the high powered output into a normal signal-level output that you could run to a receiver.
