Q: Hi, what type of batteries are needed and how do these get installed?

The clock is very well made, with great detail. The Cuckoo call is very accurate with an slight atmospheric echo & a background of running water. It has several tunes which are delightful. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. My Grandchildren love it. There are no batteries supplied with the clock which was disappointing. The type of batteries you require is C4 LR14. Easily bought from your local supermarket. Pack of 4.

Q: Have just changed the batteries after two years, but now the cuckoo does not do the correct number of calls for the hour. How do we correct it

The displayed time does not match the cuckoo call: Remove the batteries from the clock, then set both hands to 12:10. Turn the minute hand clockwise until the desired time is reached (never anticlockwise) IMPORTANT: Have the cuckoo call at every full hour.

Q: Can the night off me removed so that it still makes a sound at night? And also how long is the clock ?

No.The clock is fitted with a sensor,so in the dark the clock does not operate meaning the music and train movement are automatically turned off,if you want the clock to operate at night the you have to leave a light on. the clock is 4feet four inches in length including Pendulums.
