Great device with a caveat
Once I got the device to run, it was perfect for my application (I used it to add music to a jewelry box). Keep in mind that the only directions for set up will come from the Amazon page - there are no printed instructions provided. Also note that I was able to ADD music using my Mac computer. However, I was unable to successfully DELETE the three songs that come installed in the device itself. The outcome of this is: 1. you're only allowed <2Mb for your song and 2. The other unwanted songs will play in sequence after your song. I had to use a windows based computer to find the three installed songs and delete them. Once all of that was accomplished, the device functioned perfectly.

Fun concept
This module is a bit pricey for making a greeting card, but a fun concept and decent design (comes with everything you need down to the magnetic switch/trigger). The storage and audio quality are fine enough for something like a greeting card.

No
I plugged it into my computer and it started smelling hot and smoking now I have to go through the trouble of returning it and it could've destroyed my computer.

Neat little device
I've used this little device in a different way than greeting cards ... I've been making frames for some of the posters we have from Concerts that we've seen live and so I got this to make a prototype frame ... a panel at the bottom of the frame will pull down, allowing a sample clip to play (when people see the poster and say "who is this band..." The process works, but the 8MB of storage is the limiting factor for making this really work ... 8MB great for a recording that says "Happy Birthday Michael" ... and less so for every other intended use ... but the device works, allowing me to proceed with the concept, just need to find a similar option with more memory (I'm not worried about the sound quality really, as for me it's more about cool feature ... so this was super helpful to get me to the next step of the implementation process.

Build a music box
I built a fake music box using this, it has a winding mechanism and centripetal force moves the magnet and activates the sound. This just adds the effect of the key spinning around until the song was done. It took a bit to get both to end at the same time, but it replicates the action of a music box. It plays the music box intro to "Flaming Telepaths" by B.O.C.

Fun DIY audio playback device
I got this to use in a 3D printed gift that conceals the device and plays a cute message when opened. I didn't have any issue using/installing the device. It would've been nice to have dimensional specifications on the Amazon page, but using calipers is generally more precise anyways. Overall I'm happy with the device and would recommend it for other DIYers.

Impressed with this little thing
I'm pretty impressed with this little module. It has pretty good sound for a really cheap speaker and the built in songs are actually a lot longer than I inticipated. It works well with the provided magnet to activate and deactivate the sound. There is a nice small on off switch and another swith to change the song selection. It is easy to use and doesn't take a lot of though or effort to figure it out. I'd highly recommend it.

No talking back
You've probably seen greeting cards and advertising literature that play audio messages. This is the kind of module they use. The ICSTATION Downloadable Sound Module Button lets you program your own message. The module can be triggered with a magnetic switch, so its easy to set up to start speaking automatically when something is opened. You can program it to play once, play in a loop, and even play several tunes or messages in sequence. The 8 MB of storage is enough for several mp3 or WAV files. Audio quality through the small speaker is adequate, though not high fidelity, and the volume can be set with a potentiometer on the board. This is a great inexpensive way to customize a greeting card or toy.
