Q: is there a way to secure this button? I.e. a covering? thinking of using it for my electric slide gate for postman etc but don’t want everyone pushing

I can't see any way to secure this. And it isn't waterproof. Today I've taken it off yet again because it wasn't working and found it contained a puddle of water where the electrical contacts were.

Q: once you press it to open ,does the gate close automatic afterwards

Hi The button only gives a single start signal which is repeated each time you push it. It depends on how your gates "logic" is set up. If you gate is set to Automatic - I would expect it to open then wait for the set time then close. Hope this helps
