These worked for what I needed but I didn't want collapsible. They do have a metal rod in them and they seem sturdy so I will keep them.

Incredibly happy with this set of 3 baskets. I wanted a plastic wicker, foldable basket that was sturdy and good quality. GOT EM!! These are great. I ordered another set immediately after unpacking them.

We use these for toy storage in our living room and like them! They hold plenty of different things from small blankets to stuffed animals, balls, cars, blocks, etc. We did use 2 zip ties on each box to tie the bottom surface to the corner anchors since my son likes to pull the boxes out of the shelves and they were collapsing easily (part of the design), which worked great for our family! With that bottom piece tied in, these are very sturdy and maintain shape through some tumbles and throws across the living room.

I had to trade out our old braided seagrass baskets for these because those were shedding pieces everywhere. So I was looking for something synthetic that wouldn't make a mess or have sharp ends sticking out. I didn't want the fabric kind because the sides are not sturdy. These fit the bill. I was very impressed with how realistic they look. They are woven plastic but look just like wicker, even up close. I had to trim a couple of the ends of the weave on each basket with scissors so they didnt poke out, but not a big deal and they didn't unravel. The baskets are sturdy and the handles in back and front are easy to hold. They store flat when folded and are very easy to set up. I do wish there was something to lock the bottom piece down, but as long as you don't hold the basket from the underside it's fine. You might be able to thread some twine around the bottom edges if need it to be secured.
