What's great about this facsimile is that, unlike other KJV facsimiles which use the original font that is very hard to read, this one uses clear type that makes it easier to read and understand, while still maintaining the spelling and stylistic distinctives of the original KJV Bibles. The pages are thin, but not to the extent you worry that each turn will rip the page. As long as you aren't rough with it you should be fine. It comes with a ribbon which is useful, and it tells me this is a Bible meant to be read, not merely to be displayed. I found reading with this Bible to be highly profitable, because the "archaic" language and the style of the pages brings my mind to pay attention to what is being written, rather than ripping through pages without actually considering what you've read, which is easy to do with translations like the NIV or others like it. I also like how each chapter begins with a large "fancy" letter, which really brings the pages to life and helps break up what otherwise would be a wall of text. The only thing is that the chapters are written in Roman Numerals, which you may have to get used to if you aren't familiar with it, I being one, V being 5, X being 10, L being 50, C being 100. If a smaller numeral comes before a larger numeral, it means to subtract that amount from the one after it. So Psalm LXVII consist of 50, 10, 5, and 2, which would be Psalm 67. Psalm XCIV consists of 10, 100, 1, and 5. Because 10 comes before 100, 100 becomes 90. Because 1 comes before 5, it becomes 4, which would be Psalm 94, as some examples of how it's chapters are numbered.

The pages are thin but every Bible has thin pages. It’s in the original King James Version so for instance the word mighty is (mightie) and upon is (Vpon) and stiff like that. If that’s going to bother you, then don’t buy it. If you’re a scholar like me that wants to know the mysteries of the mind of God before the changes in the alphabet then you’ll use brilliance to overcome such things. Also I like how it has references to other Bible books and chapters. For instance if Paul is referring to something Moses did or said there would be a reference to the first 5 books. Or if he’s quoting David then there would be a reference to psalms.Also if there’s a section that isn’t easily understood then there a (||) in it and the corners explain what it is in depth. I have another Bible NIV as well that I use for back up but when it comes to speaking the word with power and committing jt to the tablet of my heart, I use the KJV. It also has an apocrypha (minus Enoch and a few others that would’ve been good to know about before I bought it - rolls eyes- but I don’t regret the purchase ! It’s small and cute and I thinkIt’s value for the money!

I love this book. I've have some laughs here and there skimming through the old English. Its really interesting from a historical standpoint.I also love the stories from the additional books. And they're so applicable to situations we may find ourselves in today's times.I am honestly so excited for God's return after reading these!I hope anyone who's reading this believes in God through Jesus. It really is a wonderful. It gives you peace and joy. Nothing compared to the peace and joy that the world claims to give 💙

I love this 1611 Bible but it's kinda hard to understand. I've been reading it but always have to use another version with it to understand it. I don't like that that the lettering is too small but I love that it has the lost books of the Bible (Apocrypha)

I purchased the paperback version to use to be able to highlight parts . But it was more like a text book which is fine for the purpose I needed it for. But the hard cover edition is a Bible it is beautiful and I'm so glad I bought this one as well. Be prepared to understand how letters were used what looks like an f is an s, u and v are used similarly. But this Bible was written before all the changes in word meanings came into play. So that was my interest in this year edition of KJV. I do Recommend this item
