Living in FL a dashcam is a MUST. Especially South FL. I wanted to take the easy way and was planning on using the 12V Cig lighter sockets on my 2010 tahoe but the problem is, they’re always live. Meaning that my battery runs the risk of being drained. Got this kit since i’ve done many hardwired dashcams before. Unfortunately, the fuse panel inside my tahoe, all fuses are live too so it was on to the fuse box under the hood. Installed it on the Cruise Control fuse and the dash cam it’s working perfectly! On with engine, off when engine is off! Installation was easy. The cables were long enough to still keep the power box inside the console. Overall, for the price and results, i recommend this kit!

Used this for my Viofo A199 Mini2 Dashcam that has parking mode, woke up to a dead battery. Tried to jump it, but apparently, it was completely killed. I saw another review before buying this that said the same thing happened to them, but I ignored it and thought it was just a "one-off issue," and now it happened to me.I would recommend buying another one that has a voltage cutoff that you can choose yourself instead of this one that has a VERY low voltage cutoff that you can't modify.

This kit is exactly what I needed for the Red Tiger dashcam in a 2018 Ford Escape

Most dash cams come with wiring that depends on using your USB port and/or the 12v (the old cigarette lighter type power). In my car, those are very unhelpfully located in the storage in the center dash, which gives no good way to run the power without unsightly wires.Enter this kit! It runs off the car's interior fuse box, which is usually under the dashboard. You pull one of your fuses, put in the one from the kit (they have four different sizes for different sized fuses), then piggyback your fuse into the system from the kit. The kit even comes with a tool for pulling the fuse out, which fits most fuse sizes. It didn't fit ours, but our car had a fuse puller in the fuse box for us to use. The lines run beautifully from the fuse box to the front camera and from there to the back camera, tucking under the interior panels. It took us all of 30 minutes to set up the entire wiring and cameras with the kit, and there are no unsightly wires.
