Loved this and prefer over alcohol
For better health, I've gotten to where I rarely drink alcohol. But, I missed that special drink to savor and make an occasion special. I had eyed Seedlip for several years, but never went for it. Finally, I started looking and noticed this Pentire Coastal Spritz - the lineup of ingredients and description sounded wonderful, and this particular spirit had the best reviews of all the non-alcoholic spirits I saw on Amazon. So, I ordered it and proceeded to try it out over a weekend trip spent with friends. As we were all beginning to pour some wine, I decided to try it with the idea I would just switch to wine to join in the fun relaxation after drinking the first drink of Pentire. Well. I ended up feeling very relaxed and happy while drinking the Pentire - I really believe it must be the botanical blend. Herbs really can help with mood, stabilizing blood sugar, energy, etc., depending on the herbs. I enjoyed it so much! And, the strength/nature of it/taste, something, made it so it wasn't quite like drinking a normal old soda or juice or something - I wanted to drink it slowly and savor it. And, it was lovely.I switched to wine after one drink of this and immediately put the wine aside and made another drink of this. I surprised myself by preferring this over wine! This happened once again the next day - I decided hey, I'll pour myself a glass of wine. And, despite the strong effect one gets from alcohol kind of immediately (that strong relaxing feeling), it felt worse and not as comfortable and warming as the Pentire drink, so I again switched back to the Pentire.I really enjoyed the taste of this. This is how I prepared it: about 2 oz Pentire, about 4 oz American tonic, some ice, and a large fresh sage leaf.I'm looking forward to continuing to enjoy this signature drink at future events or even just relaxing with a glass of it after work sometimes. And, I hope to purchase either the Adrift or the Seaward and try those, as well.

Very summery, very enjoyable
I like this; it has a bracing flavor and goes well with NA bitters and a good tonic water.

Not good
Nope, doesn't taste anything at all like whiskey. Thanks for trying tho. At least the NA beer tastes somewhat like beer.

Jury is out
I am on a mission to find a really good zero alcohol spirit. This one is fine. Not spectacular...but okay. I am using it as instructed on the label...add to club soda with basil and an orange slice, however, I am adding 4 ounces instead of 2oz in order to get flavor. Kind of expensive for little flavor....but I may buy again anyway.

Tastes the most like real alcohol of the NA spirits I've tried so far
We've been dabbling in NA spirits for the last week or so, after a health scare has us getting a bit more responsible with our alcohol consumption. This is by far one of the best options we've tried. Sipping straight, it is the only one so far that is actually pretty good! Kind of reminds me of plum/prune, though that is not an ingredient. That's just me sipping out of the measuring shot, and not putting in a rocks glass over ice, I have not done that.Since we are looking to replace alcohol, a drink that lasts for a bit is important. Also the process of mixing a drink is sort of part of the fun for me, but sometimes I don't want the hassle of measuring, shaking, straining, etc. This is very satisfying in a wine glass with a couple ounces of the Pentire Aperitif over ice, with 2-3 oz of lime sparkling seltzer. Too lazy to even squeeze a lime but that would be good. Also had this same drink with muddled strawberry, and also with an orange wheel gently squeezed and dropped in. All were quite good, and more importantly satisfyingly felt like I was having a "real" drink.Cheers!

Disappointing.
I'd read good things about this particular mix, but unfortunately I found it to be quite disappointing, personally. I wasn't expecting it to taste like an alcoholic mixer at all, but I was still expecting some degree of complexity to the flavor profile for the price. Unfortunately all I can really taste is the orange flavor with a slight hint of bitterness behind it. It was improved by mixing some lime seltzer water and rhubarb bitters in, but only so much, and for the price I really expected it to taste like more than slightly fancy blood orange soda. I cannot recommend, and I will not be purchasing it again.

My favorite non-alcoholic spirit, delightful with tonic water!
I have tried and liked the Pentire Adrift in the past, so when I saw this I decided to try it -and I'm so happy I did! It is wonderfully nuanced and herbaceous, but the orange add just a hint of sweetness. I've tried it with tonic and both a bay leaf and an orange slice, and it's wonderful either way. Go with the orange if you like a sweeter drink. There are so many delightful herbal notes that I don't miss the alcohol. And you can use less than the recipe calls for to provide a lighter flavor as well. Keep making fantastic products, Pentire!
