SKY Q HUB WIRELESS ROUTER

Q: I got this as a secondary router for upstairs but it’s not connecting to the internet, any ideas on how to fix this?

This is an ADSL router which needs to be plugged directly into a telephone socket via an ADSL filter to connect to the internet. If it is connected to a phone line, then when you WiFi connect the sky Hub should say why the internet connection is failing. Sky do sell a SKY Q booster (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connecting-a-sky-q-booster) which uses WiFI to connect to the primary SKY router but I don't know if you need a SKY Q subscription for this to work. Alternatively there are many WIreless repeaters/WiFI boosters available as a secondary device if you search on Amazon. At a pinch if you really wanted to use this as a "secondary" device, you could use a power line extender kit and ethernet cables between the primary ADSL router and this secondary router, but I have not tested this.

Q: I just bought this hub. my connection is now worse and when i go to sky to test my connection, its says i'm not a customer!! help

Return to sender for refund i ordered from amazon buyer and mine broke within 1 day. I called sky and purchased for a cheaper price direct an the offical one works just fine.

It's a Sky Q Hub, not a router. The speed of the Sky Q Hub will depend upon your Internet Service provider. Hope this helps
