Heavy, narrow blade for chopping roots.
Seems quite solidly made, a variety of sharp edges and serrated sections to make cutting through roots as easy as possible, the weighty blade helps.. The rounded handle feels a bit odd but works quite well for digging between roots and chopping through most roots when you need to change your grip frequently. First saw this in France and was pleased to see it on Amazon at a lower price.

Great for intended purpose
Makes easy work of digging out bramble roots, however the handle does come loose and rotate about 45 degrees rather too easily

Disappointed đ
The shovel was excellent and strong but the handle cracked and eventually bent so a total waste of money They should have made the handle from same material as the blade

Useful for removing hedging .
Very useful spade. Long nosed with serrated blade. Did a great job of breaking through roots to remove hedging.

Good - but has a weak point!
This spade is an absolute beast at breaking through compacted tough soil and roots. BUT, the shaft design needs to change. The plastic parts are not strong enough to take the pounding. As the spade length is quite long, the spade can travel deeply into soil (if you are strong enough) but the plastic parts of the spade let it down and start to crack and will eventually break causing the handle area to spin. So, either change the shaft / handle design, or shorten the length of the spade so it cannot enter soil as deep.
