Worth the price
Eliminated the nsg370 slop, reverse stays in place now. Took 25 minutes to install on a TJ. Shifts are stiff at first but loosen up over time

Amazing Upgrade
Get it. Factory shifter sucks and you know it. It’s expensive, but not as costly as hating your Jeep and not wanting to drive it so you trade it in and buy another vehicle with a new set of problems. :)No more falling out of 1st and no more sloppy shifts. This thing makes you feel like you are in command of the shifting like it should.

Pricey, but a very necessary upgrade to JK.
Shifter is very well made, really solid quality. The way it shifts now - is like a day versus night. Shifting is crisp and precise, as some others have already mentioned, it takes time to get used to it, because it is more firm and demands a lot more pressure then the old sloppy original one.Installation - I did not bother dropping cross-member and fuel tank, but this requires to completely destroy the foam pad - there is no other way to get original off, without dropping. I replaced mine with custom made, from foam I purchased separately and cut myself out in necessary shape. The provided gasket is rather flimsy and due to other reviews mentioning possible oil leakage, I opted to apply additional liquid gasket, I drove without covers for some while, still no leaks so far. Once the foam is removed - installation is very easy and straight forward. Just remove the old one and drop the new one in.I used the original shifting stick and while a straight B&M shifter stick would be even more firm, for me just swapping shifter mechanism was enough to remove all the grinding and gear slop.Price - this is the only reason this product gets 4/5 stars, I mean the quality is there and in the end it was worth for me personally, but could be off putting for a lot of people. In the end I am very pleased with the end result, I am finally fully enjoying my rides with jeep now, no more random grinding while going from 1st to 2nd gear, shifts are crisp and sporty.

5 month review
I installed the shifter about five months ago. I’m still thinking it was a good purchase. There is a bit of a learning curve to using it at first, but you get used to the added resistance fast. When it’s new, it’s stiff and you have to use a little force, but after a few months, it wears in a bit and gets pretty smooth. It has cleaned up my issues with getting into reverse for sure.I cheated when I installed it and didn’t install the foam donut, so that saved me from not having to drop the gas tank and mess with the trans mounts. I did everything from instead the Jeep. I may get motivated one day and install the donut. We’ll see. Probably not. Once you pull the shift knobs off and the center console out of the jeep, it’s four star screws, maybe a 20 minute job.Value for money? I mean, it’s expensive for sure. Yes, I’m glad I bought it once.Appearance? Looks stock unless you put the stickers on your jeep.

Great Shifter
This is a great product. Jeeps should come like this from factory. It will take some get used to it. But the shifting is way more precise.I like it a lot.

Fixed my JK jumping out of first
My JK was jumping out of first gear. I removed the outer and inner boot and drove like that for a week or so during which time it only jumped out once or twice. It seems like the inner boot pushes against the shifter. The B&M requires more pressure to move out of gear. I've driven with the B&M (with the boots) for a couple months now and I love it. It has not jumped out of first once. I have to pay attention to fully engage reverse but that's a habit now. I could take or leave the short throws. I didn't mind long throws on the stock shifter, it's a Jeep after all, but everything else about the stock shifter is improved by the B&M. I also replaced the shift level with a B&M and got a different shift knob as I found the one that came with the lever to be too small. It was not a cheap upgrade but very well worth the expense in my opinion. I enjoy shifting my Jeep again and that's worth a lot.

Should've Bought This a Long Time Ago
This is probably the single best upgrade you could make to the drivability of a Jeep Wrangler. It makes the vehicle feel so much better to drive. The shifter itself is a lot quieter than the OEM shifter. It's more robust in ever aspect. The thing is heavy, clicky, and very positive. 1st and Reverse were always finicky in my 2010 Jeep JK and this shifter cleaned it right up. I know it costs a lot, but you get what you pay for. People complain that their shifts are slower because the shifts have a lot of resistance. I think you just need to be a man and grow some muscle because my shifts have gotten quicker. The throws are so shorts it feels like I haven't even moved my arm.
