Good fan fairly quiet and removes steam efficiently .Same mounting holes as previous Vent Axia fan so straightforward fitting.

This is my third of this model. I have two others, bought here 8 years ago, nice and quiet, love the auto timer, encouraged by 5 year warranty.Both fans have developed loud bearings. The one in the main bathroom, in bungalo occupied by just two adults, has deteriorated to the point it can be heard from anywhere in the home. The other is less used but is well on its way down the path to alarmingly noisy.So I bought and installed a replacement, intent on seeing if I could disamantle and repair them.The good news: yes, fully dismantlable if you know what you're doing, and are good at such things, and two standard 4x13x5 bearings.The bad news: they built a fan for use in damp air, but used regular 624ZZ chrome-steel shielded bearings. Sheilded bearings are not sealed, and chrome-steel will inevitably develop rusty balls and races. Hapeth of tar and all that.I suspect that, rebuilt with S624ZZ fully stainless steel bearings, the repaired unit will outlast a new one, probably by a long time. The S624ZZ won't drag like fully sealed S624-2RS, but should survive humidity much better than the regular 624ZZ.Given that it comes with a 5 year warranty, it feels a bit of a shame that they built mine to only last a little longer than that. Great extractor,not whisper quiet but not loud either.Does a far better job of removing steam than the extractor itself replacing,happy customer.

I had to install upside down as the wiring is fixed to top entry. Performance is excellent, as stated on a great YouTube video - that's why I bought it. It's the best, I've bought some lame ducks in the past, this beats them all - it actually extracts air!Not silent, air makes noise when it moves at speed. If it was silent I'd be worried, it has to move the air.

The item was faulty and the flimsy plastic wind stopper isn't fit for purpose, I've sent my one bk and now I've got to wait 7 days for refund , quick enough to take my money, now I can't even buy a new one until I get refunded shame on you amazon
