I now have 4 of these !!!!
I was sceptical as they are expensive for a small flask but a friend reccommended this type and, as I have tried others which are either too big for or don't keep food hot all morning, I thought I would give these a go. Initially I bought 2 of these so the children could have hot meals at school for a change without the risk of 'today's special' in the canteen being on the 'don't like' list.I always pre-heat them with boiling water at 7am for 10 mins while I heat the food and let it boil well so that I know it is as hot as i can get it. In it goes, full to the brim and lids on. The 10 year old has lunch at 12, the 14 year old at 1pm. They both report that at lunchtime(after 5 and 6 hours) the food is hot, though not burning. Pretty impressive!! (incidentally i wondered if the lid would be difficult to open but the 10 year old reports it not so... bet he wouldn't have managed it at 5 though!!)They have rapidly become my receptical of choice for reheated dinner left overs (you know those times when there is not enough bolognaise left for another dinner but too much for the bin...add some more veg and tomato sauce and lunch is made!!)Then my husband started using one to take porridge on days when i wasn't using them for the children. Then when he has to work late he dicided to take a hot lunch and a cold dinner. The tub is a smaller portion than he would normally eat but works well with a bread roll and banana with it.Then we took hot lunches for the kids on a satuday hike in the snow and they scoffed them mercilesly while we only had a flask of hot tea with our sandwiches. So i bought 2 more flasks.I find they work best with food that is slightly more liquid than normal (eg add some extra tomato sauce to bolognaise) and chopped small so there are no air gaps in the pot (use small pasta shapes and chop carrotts into dice rather than pennies!!)Our favourite 'hot pot meals' arebolognaise with space pasta (some supermarkets stock the shapes!)chicken and vegetable casserolesausage, pasta and veg in tomato saucecreamy chicken pastasausages and baked beanssoup (i tend to put in a really thick one)they are also the right size for those mug sized packets past like mugshots. Just preheat the jar, add the packet, fill with boiling water stir well and they are soft and have absorbed the water at lunchtime... handy for campingI have steered clear of rice in it... not sure about the food safety implications keeping reheated rice hot for 6 hours ???yes thay are expensive but...It is cheaper to buy vegetables than fruit so a carrot & sweetcorn in the hot pot is a cheaper way to 5 a day in the packed lunch than an apple and grapes!!Dinner left overs are no longer wasted! If they take the place of buying school lunches and more significantly motorway service station meals they pay for themselves very quickly!!

Great product, but much smaller than pictured
Keeps the food fairly warm, but as other reviewers have suggested, food doesn't stay warm as long as it suggests, and the actual product is pretty tiny compared to what you would imagine it would be from the picture! And while that's not the manufacturer's fault, it's something that I thought I ought to point out, as it really did surprise me how small it was when it came! From the picture it looks kinda soup bowl width, but really the size of this is not much wider than a regular drinks thermos, only heavily shrunk in height (actual dimensions are 11cm high by 8.5cm wide, in case anyone was interested?) However, it is very well made, doesn't leak, and in many ways its tiny size can actually be an asset when travelling, as this now means that each of my 5 meals a day can be brought with me easily, in separately weighed meal portions, so I may even buy another few of these just for this purpose! In general, I do really like it, so am still giving it 5 stars!

It's been good so far
I use this for my toddler at nursery, keeps soups and pastas warm.Wouldnt say it keeps things hot for the full time, even if you pre heat the tub, but it's ideal for kids

Keeps food warm, no leakages!
I was looking for a small, good quality flask for my 6 year old son to fill with nutritious meals (mainly left overs from the night before!) to take to school with him, as an alternative to cheese sandwiches and ham sandwiches at lunch times.I purchased this flask together with a pink version for my 9 year old daughter and they have been fantastic! In fact since my daughter started using this, many of her peers started to take flasks to school too (prior to lockdown!) .They are just the right size for lunch-I fill each one almost to the top with left over chilli, lasagne, sausage pasta etc and on most occasions nothing is left.I’ve never known these to leak and they are easy enough for the children to open themselves. They tell me that food is still warm at 11.30am when they have their lunch in school. I heat these up at around 7.45am, as we leave for school at 8. A tip my friend gave me was to add boiled water to the flask for ten minutes, empty then add the heated food - always seems to work. These are also very quick and easy to clean. Instructions say not to put in the dishwasher, so I rinse these with warm soapy water.

Great for a 4y
My son has used it for a month now, and it’s a great size for his lunch. I don’t send very liquid soups as I don’t think it would work as it would just go everywhere and it’s not the right angle for him to eat it with a spoon, but I have sent lots of other things and he eats it all so he must like it. Can’t rate how long it keeps it warm for, as I’m not there at lunch time but tbh my son doesn’t like very hot food anyway. It’s easy to clean, the rubber comes out if you need to clean it a bit more. It has a space on the lid that’s hard to reach, but with a little brush you can do it.
