Spongy Goodness in a 3-pack
Purchased the 3-pack of these QEP sponges for a bathroom floor remodel (16"x16" travertine, with 1/16" spacing). Used during the setting of the tiles to remove excess thinset mortar from edges of the travertine and from the top surface of the travertine after setting. Then used the sponges to clean off excess grout, and residue off the top of the tiles.I don't know why some reviewers have said these sponges are absorbent. This must be a case of Amazon combining reviews from different but similar products, because the sponges hold a bunch of water and absorb it quickly, and they are easily drained of water with a simple squeeze. These sponges are a must have if you're putting in tile or putting in grout. Used properly and your clean up after grouting is minimal (wipe once on one side, flip the sponge over and wipe once the other direction, then put the sponge in your bucket of water, it will immediately load up with water, and then simply ring out the sponge by squeezing). If you wipe back and forth several time on a tile you're just going to spread grout (or thinset) film over the surface of the tile and that's just going to be more work later on to clean off the haze on the tile surface.First wipe picks up the excess grout, second wipe (on other side of sponge) cleans up the remaining residue. These sponges seem to be extremely durable, way better than small cellulose sponges.

Good value and quality.
I bought these to wash my cars. The sponge is soft enough, the perfect size and holds water well. The bonus was they came in a three pack for about the same price I usually pay for one car sponge. So far they are holding up well. I would buy again.

Extra wide sponges
These are bigger than what I thought! They are good, though. I use them for cleaning my bathrooms, walls and my car! I have small hands so I have to kind of grip them firmer to use. These sponges get the jobs done!

Durable
These sponges are perfect for big cleaning and grouting projects. They are not the most absorbent, which is perfect for these projects. They are durable and a great value for the price.

The sponges felt a bit firm out of the package, but they softened up after the first use, enhancing their flexibility. For anyone involved in tiling projects, the QEP Extra Large Grouting Sponges are indispensable.
