The OrdinaryAHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, Advanced Exfoliating Peel for Brighter Skin

I needed a exfoliant but couldn't afford my preferred one so I checked this out. I really had no clue what to expect but what I believe I have is.......a less expensive, better, great serum for reviving my face. Be prepared it stings but that's it working. If you really want to add some punch to this ( not recommended for the faint of heart....do some micro needling before applying this. It really reves up the action but like I said...know your limitations. I am surprisingly pleased with this serum. Will order again. So far my sling feels smoother and less creepy at 3 times a week in just one week.

I’ve been using The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution twice a week, and the results have been amazing! My skin is smoother, brighter, and my acne scars are fading faster than I expected. It gives me that fresh, clean-skin feeling every time.The tingling is manageable and goes away quickly. I leave it on for exactly 10 minutes, then follow up with a gentle cleanser, serum, and moisturizer. I’ve also noticed fewer breakouts and tighter pores over time.This product is powerful, so if you’re new to acids, ease into it. But for me, twice a week works perfectly. Just don’t forget sunscreen the next day—this stuff means business!

So, I've been doing facial peels for many years at home. Originally I would see my dermatologist about every other month and she would do them. Over time, I developed a long standing relationship with her, became a pharmaceutical rep and she gracefully and kindly "taught me the ropes" for performing the peels at home and at my own risk.With that being said, I've used glycolic peels, TCA peels, natural peels, you name it, I've tried it. This peel by ORDINARY is something all together different in terms of results, process of application, and time. I received my bottle within two days and it was packaged well. I read the directions and proceeded to wash my face with Cetaphil for sensitive skin. I rinsed my face several times using warm to hot water and then a cool water rinse. I patted dry and waited for about 5 minutes before applying the ORDINARY peel. You never want to use a peel when your skin is wet or damp.Once ready to apply, I used the dropper to suck some product up into the tube and then began lightly squeezing the dropper on my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Oddly enough, it does not really drip off your face. I'd say it's a bit thicker than a serum, but obviously thinner than a lotion. Once I thought I had enough product on my face using the dropper, I then spread the product around using a light touch with my fingertips.After my face was covered completely (and kinda scary looking as it looks like blood), I then set the timer for 12 minutes. The directions say not to leave on the skin for longer than TEN minutes, but I know my skin and I know what it can handle and what it takes for a product such as this to work effectively. During the time the product was on my skin, somewhere around the 7 minute mark, I began to feel a slight tingling and burning sensation, somewhat like a sunburn, but definitely very tolerable. This means that the product is working and performing as it should. Yeah!After my time was up, I rinsed my face for a good 5 minutes using cool water and making sure to not leave any product residue behind. I then patted dry very lightly and examined my skin in a high powered mirror. I was able to see areas of my skin where I've had previous issues of acne and slight wrinkles really respond to the peel. Yeah, again! I'm happy about this because this does not always happen with other peels. Seeing a response to the product means the product is really WORKING.I waited about another 5 minutes after patting dry and applied a light moisturizer, Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Serum, which is sort of part serum, part light lotion and excellent for sensitive skin. About an hour later I again examined my skin and found it to be glowing, a bit pink, soft and even textured. I have JUST FOUND MY NEW BEST FRIEND.Not even considering price (which by the way is excellent), this will be my once a week go-to peel. It's not messy, it takes hardly any time to do and the results are fantastic. I'd recommend this to friends and others looking for an easy addition to their skin care routine, especially one that visible results are clear. At this time, I have no active acne breakouts, but I've had them on occasion in the recent past, perhaps a couple times a year I'll get one or two pimples. I think using this product regularly will prevent that from happening. I'm thrilled with my experience of the ORDINARY peel!

I love it that it’s colored and you can tell where it’s applied. I don’t know about how strong it is. My skin felt soft after, but no peeling. No redness and I tolerated well. I do want to say I’ve used tretinoin for years and so my skin may be able to tolerate this without the peeling. I gave it 4 stars only because it didn’t peel or seem ti do much, but it could also be that my skin is used to the more powerful stuff…in don’t know for sure.

Great product for the price. Rub it on, leave it on 10 minutes, rinse off. I moisturized immediately after, then washed my face before bed (about 8 hours after this). Woke up the next morning and my skin was very even, unbelievable. Before I had rough, patchy, red dotted skin. Only one zit remained when I woke up. Best skin product I’ve tried.

This stuff is amazing… but it will make you look like an extra in a horror movie while it’s working its magic. THIS IS MY FAVORITE PRODUCT. Of All time! Seriously. There is a company that sends you products monthly like trial sizes of products. There was one that I loved but it was sooo expensive. So I started looking for a dupe or one that worked just as well. This one is it! Be sure to read all the instructions though. I leave it on for 10 min once a week and follow with a night cream at night and don't have any issues. But as I understand, for some people that might be too much. It is a weird color...like crushed cranberries and probably would stain white towels so be mindful of that. It does sting a tiny bit...but my skin is baby saaaaaawft after.

I’ve purchased this exfoliant from The Ordinary multiple times because it truly works. I naturally have very clear and fair skin, and this product helps keep it smooth, even, and glowing. I use it two to three times per week at night for 10 minutes, followed by a gentle moisturizer. It’s really important not to mix it with other acids, retinol, or vitamin C in the same routine, and I always use sunscreen the next day because acids increase sun sensitivity.From the first week, I noticed softer skin. In 2–4 weeks, I started seeing improved texture and glow. With consistent use (4–6 weeks), it helped reduce dark spots and minimize pores. This peeling is strong but very effective when used correctly. It’s one of my skincare must-haves, and I’ll definitely keep buying it.

Definitely do NOT use this for over 5 minutes during your first use..I got a bad chemical burn from using it for 10 minutes my first time. Works decent.
