Q: I noticed this is very new. Has anyone had any issues with this? speed issues or reliability?

I have two of these installed in a Sonnet thunderbolt enclosure, which I use with my laptop. Initially, I had an issue where the driver would crash when a display port cable was hooked up to the downstream thunderbolt port, but later discovered that it was caused by outdated thunderbolt drivers. After the update, everything worked as expected. If you’re installing this in a desktop, you shouldn’t have any issues. FYI: The ports on this card operate at 10Gbits max (the 20Gbits printed on the box is overall bandwidth, not speed). The first type C port gets 10Gbits of dedicated bandwidth, which is useful for faster data transfer speeds with external hard drives/thumb drives. The second type C port and type A ports share the remaining 10Gbits with every device connected to the card. It is plug and play, but Windows will install and use USB 3.1 drivers, as shown in the Device Manager. I consider this card to be a great add-on for any computer

Thanks for asking. No to both your questions. USB 3.2 Gen2x2 is 20Gbps, the main chipset on the card is a 20Gbps with two channel, each channel giving 10Gbps. Per the picture, it shows the port is capable of running at what speed. Port A (Top, USB C) is a dedicated 10Gbps port. The other channel (10Gbps) goes to a hub and it is shared by the other 4 port (Port B,C,D,E). If you are using ONLY one of the port (Port B,C,D,E), you will get 10Gbps. Note, all speed mention are theoretical speed, actual speed may be different. If you scroll down to the "From the manufacturer" information, it is explain clearly in the A-plus content.

Thanks for asking. Yes, you do. This card is capable of 52+ watts, considering all the 5 ports power requirement, it will have to get the power from the SATA power port.
