TExES Core Subjects EC-6 (391) Study Guide 2025-2026 (TExES Teacher Certification Test Prep)

The book and practice tests are helpful for studying and building confidence. I read the book twice and did all the tests multiple times. I just took the exam and passed all subjects, but it does have a broad reach of questions and some questions are very, very detailed. Keep in mind that some questions won't be counted. Work hard, use lots is study resources. I found free videos from other cohorts where they practiced question together. I also used other online practice exams that were free.

Awesome study guide...it helps me to pace when taking time test

The book is good and has many online practice tests that are so helpful. But you need to get it and start going over the material well before your test date. I would suggest at least three months to feel really prepared. I passed all sections of the EC-6 test but there was so much information to take in! Especially if you didn’t go to college for elementary education. Some of the stuff in the book you may not have thought about since you were in elementary!

I bought this book on October 17,2023 did not start studying until April of 2024. Schedule my test in may passed my exam on the first try. I will say this book can be helpful if read through. I made flash cards with vocabulary words used throughout the book. Know your laws! Study your English part as well math is hit or miss, but remember when taking the test perfect world perfect scenario all the resources are there. This book will help you get through it. Study vocabulary the practice test are helpful, but in this book know your laws, English, stakeholders, IEPs, transition, and lastly do not think what would you do but how it’s supposed to be done. Book was delivered on Oct 5th and took the test on the 25th and passed on the 1st attempt! I graduated in Fall of '19 and have barely studied up until I got this book. I took the diagnostic tests the first 3 days of having the book and used that to know which competencies to read over.

This was a great purchase to help me study for the Texes Core subjects test. It has digital practice tests also that are great for preparing.

It was a good resource to use to study and liked that it had an online practice test too.

I needed it for the Fine Arts part which should be a test within itself. Provided enough information and practice test for me to pass. However, I wish I didn’t have to have the book, I wish it was online.
