Alvin Aluminum Graduated T-Square, 24" (ALT24)

as it states made from aluminium, I expected the entire thing to be aluminium, but the 'T' head is plastic. a misleading description I think.

The square arrived very poorly packed resulting in it being damaged during shipment. But that’s not the real issue. This flimsy plastic piece would have surely failed with light use anyhow.

.It sure is flimsy, but at least mine is square. That could change if I were to drop it. I used to have a really nice t square with a stainless ruler and an aluminum head. I didn't know what I had! Wish I knew what happened to it. This will meet my needs for now but given the flimsy ruler, plastic head, and chintzy rivets I don't see it living a long life.

The angles are right, and the aluminum edges are great. The slide could stand to be a little longer, and made of stiffer material - or just thicker. But overall, it does its job well as long as you mind the relatively shorter slide surface.

I have both the 18" and 30" version of this Tsquare, and the 18"version is pretty much on point... the 30" version is noticeably off... even though it's slightly off, it's pretty much useless since measurements are all off... not liking it at all... we all know measurements are key when building things, and this tsquare throws everything off
