AMAZING
Let me just say that this thing is no joke! It does the job tremendously, but be prepared for a workout lol because this thing is heavy. If you have a lot of tree roots in your yard trust me this thing is amazing.

Bamboo Removal
I have a couple of patches of bamboo in my back yard. Once new shoots get established into stalks, they're very tough to take down. My previous tool was a ground axe which was effective, but left my back aching. I used the broot bar to really surgically target the root and within a couple of minutes of chopping the stalks and a good chunk of their underground roots were cleared. It's a heavy tool. Maybe the 4 foot version would have been less work, but the weight behind the 6 foot version really made the effort much easier than the ground axe.

It's working but slowly.
We are trying to dismantle a palm plant with a thousand separate stems bunched up, it defeated the chainsaw and the plastic tarp. I am sure this is the right tool for the job but it's slow going. Swing and stab, swing and stab. 3 of us have done it so far, over the course of a week, the tool does penetrate the roots but it's not like a few cuts and pull it out, no.I think it will be helpful for setting raised beds in the garden too, for taking out the turf and defining the hole to set them in. That was hard to do with a shovel, this seems like it will make a cleaner edge. It's a good tool but it's not magic. The weight of the axe does help it push into the roots.

Great tool.. hard work
I got this tool to remove some stumps from Areca palms. This thing is pretty heavy and it serious manual labor (from lifting it and plunging it into the root system edges) but it is super effective. I was initially debating to get this size or the smaller one (due to storage in the garage) but I’m glad I got this size due to its leverage.

Strong and Cuts Well
Had to remove some old fence posts in order to put in new ones. My yard has lots of trees and this tool made quick work of the roots that got in my way. Tried using a cheap battery-powered reciprocating saw but it couldn't handle the thicker roots. My only complaint is that the tamper end is wonky. It's not perfectly flat, but noticably warped. Didn't take off a star though because for the kinds of tampering you'd do with a bar this small it doesn't need to be perfectly flat.Would recommend to anyone needing to dig and cut through roots.

Cool, but seemingly poor quality
This thing looks it could take care of some roots, but mine came cracked all the way through on the edge.
