Sit Back, Relax and Zap! 😎
Purchased 2 units Dec ‘21 and they died off 3.5 years (Dog Area) for one and 4 years (Kitchen Corner Cabinet) for the other. The one with the dogs lasted a shorter amount of time. Granted they both would’ve lasted longer had they not been dropped off the counter tops or rinsed down vigorously each time I cleaned the dog area. lol 5 stars from me, just wish I’d get the new on sooner. I’ll order and be patient because I know the quality is good.

This thing is a beast - 5 stars
This was about $40 on sale. Caution: The first time it snapped, it was so LOUD that I jumped. BUT, I have gotten used to it, and I even am happy I can be in the other room and hear it snap, and I smile because I know it's killed off another nasty bug. INDOOR ONLY. Put in a safe place where kids and animals don't knock over or you can also hang it. Keep away from moisture/water. I have mine set up in a corner on top of a bookshelf away from everyone and everything. This thing is so powerful it will throw small pieces of bug shrapnel around the area in front and back of the unit altho there is a catch tray for the dead bugs. When I used this in conjunction with the plug ins (see review) and the rechargeable fly swatter (see review), I eradicated about 95% of the insects in the house in about 2 days. I had an infestation of fruit gnats. I thought it was just bad housekeeping on my part, but several people said they had problems this year as well. Well worth $40 to me. 5 stars.

Solved a horrible mosquito problem
This purged the mosquitos from the room nicely. I hate them and waking up being bitten sucks. Time to get serious and fight back.

Very Good.
The little flying insects that have invaded my home this summer (never seemed to be a prob before) were why I purchased this zapper which does work very well for the insects that are attracted to the UV light. There are many more than I realized too which are drawn to it which is disconcerting. Unfortunately those pesky little flying bugs aren't attracted to the lights so I'm the zapper w. my fly swatter & occasionally they fly into it unbeknownst to them of their fate. Its definitely a keeper though in ridding this FL MH of lots of other flying invaders & I'll continue w. my swatter.

This thing is useless.
TL;DR: Loud AF and barely killed anything. basically a bright UV nightlight.Ok so, first things first, i originally bought this to get rid of gnats because i noticed they liked light (screens) and someone had mentioned in the questions section that this killed gnats. Okay. Great. I'm all in. Previous gnat traps were unsustainable. So, it arrived in the mail, I plugged it in and waited for the magic to begin..*Spongebob narrator voice*20 days later.... it's killed a total of 5 gnats.. FIVE. If you know anything about gnats, you'll know how laughable that is. LOL. Also, the instructions say the zapping sound is like popcorn.. it is NOT like popcorn. it's much louder, more like those poppers kids throw on the ground.ANYWAY, one day a fruit fly came in and i thought, "at least it might be good for that. cause LOL. it's CAN'T be completely useless." .... NOPE! that little winged demon flew right in, got zapped, and shook it off like a mild hangover. i was SHOOK. But it didn't end there. Round two, it flew right back in! and i thought "second time's gotta be the charm." ...NOPE! Got shocked and got right back up... eventually it got out and i killed it the old fashioned way...I tend to have a comical tone when i talk, but this is serious. This thing is basically useless. At most, it's a dangerous BRIGHT AF UV nightlight... so, purchase accordingly.

FIRST INDOOR FLY ZAPPER THAT WORKS
We live in a rural neighborhood with lots of horses and other farm animals on nearby property, so we have a constant fly problem. We have gone through many fly swatters and tried bated traps and sticky traps, but nothing works as well as this UV bug zapper. We placed it out of the way in a central hallway. And I must confess to feeling a guilty pleasure at every ZAP which means one less fly to chase down with the swatter.

I have never reviewed anything, but....!
I got this for drain flies or sour flies whatever you prefer to call them. Best thing I have ever gotten, it is such a satisfying sound to hear the zap when another fly bites the dust. The ZAP is loud at first, and made me jump, but after a bit it is barely noticeable, and did I say satisfying? I sat it on an end table and put a sheet of white paper under it just to see what it was doing, I was amazed at the amount of flies it zaps, only thing better would be if I could find out where they are coming from, ( I am suspecting my house plants)! There is a catch tray to get most of the flies, but quite a few end up on the paper I put down on the table it sits on, so I clean it off regularly. After seeing it in action my daughter plans on getting one for herself as well.

Unit works as expected
I finally opened the bag containing the unit. Opened the box to find one of the rings for hanging the unit is bopping around inside the housing. Oh wait! The top corner is cracked. You can’t put a product in a bag where the only protection is the box.
