This product is a fantastic find! It's reasonably priced, making it accessible for most budgets without compromising on quality. The product is exactly as described, and its usefulness cannot be overstated. I've found it to be incredibly practical and efficient in meeting my needs. The tool works great but the instructions are very vague (there's a picture that I couldn't understand initially with no text). You need to configure the tool depending on what type of snap ring you are removing - 1) the kind that goes inside the tube and expands and needs to be compressed to remove, or 2) the kind that goes around the outside of the tube and needs to be pulled apart to remove. To configure the tools there's a pivot pin you pull out then you can flip the head to select whether you want to compress or pull apart the ring. My first time using the tool I had it backwards which made the job much more difficult!

Great snap ring pliers! Works on both internal and external snap rings. This one only works on snap rings with holes. Comes with different size and angle attachments, and the changeover is quick and easy. Wish I'd bought this sooner.

I needed this pliers to rebuild a power steering rack that had a few circlips. The replaceable tips are pretty neat with the way they are attached and reversible BUT they are not stiff once you really squeeze on them. The tips flex apart too much then the clip goes flying, so you need to use both hands. One to compress the clip and the other to prevent the tips from flexing apart and launch the clip into space. These snap ring pliers are well made,easy to use and come with an assortment of tips for any application. Glad I bought them.

Got the job done, and will keep in the tool box for future use. Maybe not for larger snap rings though.

This is a good set of value priced snap ring pliers. It's not often I need to remove or install snap rings, but recently decided to do some maintenance on some old Craftsman ratchets and couldn't find any snap ring pliers in my tool box, so I ordered this Irwin set and they worked wonderfully. There wasn't any instructions at all in how to remove and change the different tips, but it was easy enough to figure it out without any instructions. And for those that are wondering if it's made in USA, it is not. The packaging says made in Taiwan. At least it's not made in China. The quality of tools coming out of Taiwan seems to be pretty decent and usually far better than tools made in China. I hope my review was helpful!

Work fine for light jobs, but they’re not the most heavy-duty option out there. They get the job done for smaller projects, but for tougher snap rings, they can feel a bit flimsy. The convertible feature is handy, but the mechanism could be smoother. Overall, they’re okay for occasional use but might not hold up to heavy-duty tasks.
