A Year of Zen: A 52-Week Guided Journal (A Year of Reflections Journal)

Journaling is a hard habit for me to stick with. This journal has made it super easy and as promised, has created a lot of reflection. This journal is perfect if you are just starting, there is a guided prompt for each day and they only take about 5 minutes to complete.I love this so much I've purchased for friends!

Absolutely love this book. Was shocked to get it the same day I ordered it!!! Talk about fast shipping. Lol. Was packaged very well too. The book was even better than what I was hoping for!! Even bought my sister one. It has little exercises in it that you can do daily or weekly. It's a little bigger than a regular size paperback book, which was awesome. Giving you lots of space to write in it. However, It's a book that really needs to be started in the spring, otherwise you will be flipping through pages to figure out where you're at. I cannot wait to start this book, to help me practice buddhism every day!!! It's perfect!! Really hope the author makes more of these types of books.

I am 2 weeks into this journal and I like it. Each week has 7 prompts so it's nice to do one everyday, or you could wait until the end of the week and do a reflection of the week and complete all of them at once. I like doing 1 a day because it allows me to take a break from work to slow down and focus on what I am writing.

Was not expecting much from this journal. It’s not substantially different than any other type of prompting journal. However, it does help me focus for just a couple of minutes a day. Many days of questions that do expand your thinking, and cause introspection.

Some days I do one entry on a page some I do a page or two. It keeps you on track and opens your perspective for the day!Highly recommend!

I was a little reluctant to order this journal because the word "Zen" has often led me to concepts that I didn't really understand. So far, however, I have found the writing prompts in A Year of Zen to be sensible but thought provoking. The pages are made of quality paper and the illustrations on each page add a lovely touch without being overwhelming. The journal starts with the first week of spring, but since I received it later in the spring, I started writing on the week that corresponded with the actual calendar week I got it. I did not respond to each of the seven days for which prompts were given. Some seemed to need more thought. My plan is to write in response to those that I can answer now, then follow up next year as the seasons roll by. I think it will be interesting in a year to see how I responded to prompts the previous year.All-in-all, my response to this journal is very favorable!

Pages keep falling out. Everything else about this book is wonderful and I am using a rubber band to hold it together. I just wish the pages didn't fall out by just turning a page.

I discovered this treasure in early March and was tickled to discover it starts with spring. :-) it's immediately become part of my morning ritual. I'm sure I'll buy extras copies for friends, as well as for myself.
