Great for Ceiling Lights, Chandeliers and Fans
We purchased a $600 chandelier for our dining room. I did call the company and speak with a design engineer so they can make changes to their product. The plate provided only gave one option for mounting but if you’re like us and have a box with side by side screw holes it meant you could only orient the light one way and the mounting plate couldn’t be turned. This is where our issue began. In order to make it work without tearing out the box and opening the ceiling I needed to widen the screw holes to accept a #10 screw in order to provide enough head on the screw to hold the plate using the non threaded slots. (The mounting plate was meant to use threaded holes to prevent movement) The original screws had also stripped the holes and I knew they would not hold this new fixture. While these are shorter than I would have preferred they allowed me to rethread the first half of the screw hole at which point there was enough torque for the screw to thread the remainder of the hole.

Good overall with a small exception
Overall these are great bits and MUCH easier than a traditional set. I was skeptical due to the price, but the threading is great on the 10-32 and holds the screw well in the threads. I haven't used the other threads. I also can't speak to the durability due to only having these for a few days. The only complaint I have is that they leave a slightly raised ridge where they start the threading. This could be operator error and I'll try to apply more pressure when starting a thread, but it's pretty consistent on each hole I tapped. If this was not a finished rack, it wouldn't be as issue and could be lightly filed down. However, this is re-threading a finished product so it would be difficult to file and paint without being very obvious.

What I wanted
These work great if it's what you need and always have a drill handy. Great for re-threading junction boxes. I also bought a screw-driver that has 3 of these sizes in case the drill isn't handy.

They worked well for me.
I bought these for a project that involved drilling and tapping a lot of holes in cast aluminum. I was very happy with how quickly the job progressed using these taps. But I have been very surprised at how often I reach for them since then.I have used these on aluminum, cast aluminum, and 12 gauge steel. Nothing thicker than 1/4".I see other, similar sets on Amazon and I can't say if these are better or worse, but I can say that these are worth a try.I would suggest either running your drill on the slow speed setting or switching to slow speed when the drill breaks through.

Quality of product manufacturing is very important to customer satisfaction...
Rather than the normal 6-sided shank, this one had 12 flats (with unequal width making it prone to slip in a chuck which could result in failure and accident damage/danger.The remaining 5 parts appeared to be made correctly.

Have tapped thread into small aluminum heat sink
For my small project I have tapped threads into small (40 x 40mm) aluminum heat sinks and then mounted an LED chip to the heat sink. The smallest tap worked great for this project. I have tapped 3 heats sinks and mounted 3 LED chips. So far these tap bits are working very good.I recommend starting with a punch, then the smallest drill bit you have. I used drill bit oil on both the small drill bit and then on the 6-32 tap and things went very smooth.

Drill and tap
It did what I needed it to do and I like it. It make the thread perfect every time.
