Fantastic intro/intermediate book on Options Trading
Insightful book on mastering the mindset to succeed in the world of options trading. The author has clearly poured his heart and soul into this work. Filled with humor, the author shares guidelines on psychology, risk management, key indicators and also simple trend following setups with numerous examples that validate the edge in proposed setups. After reading the book, I setup the Scans for Bullish and Bearish Bounce 2.0 setups described in the book. I definitely plan to test these out.

A Must-Read for Any Trader—New or Experienced.
I learned technical analysis over 15 years ago, but I'm just now diving into the world of options trading. The Tao of Trading has been a phenomenal guide in helping me make that transition. Whether you're trading options, stocks, forex, or anything else, this book has something valuable for you. What stood out to me most is how the author dials in a conservative and practical approach—not only to technical analysis, but to options trading as well. It's not about hype or high-risk bets; it's about smart setups, sound risk management, and consistent discipline. On top of the technical strategies, the book also addresses the mental game of trading, which is so often overlooked. The way it breaks down emotion vs. analysis really hit home and helped me think more clearly about my own decision-making.Highly recommend it for traders at any stage—especially if you're looking to build a solid, repeatable process with your trading.

Excellent Book but I wish Simon offered 1 more thing
I’ve read many books on the subject and this is one of the better ones. I highly recommend it however there is one more thing I wish Simon and all authors offered which is a matrix of actual returns in an account dedicated to the strategy. This would be month-by-month of returns for 5 or 10 years with brokerage statement PDFs available for download to back it up. Of course sensitive data on the statements would be blanked out. So how about it Simon!

An honest review. The good and the bad.
So I’ve been a trader/investor off and on for 25 or so years. I’ve read lots of books going back to Granville and Hurst. Most books don’t show you how to do the essentials, which is identify a trend, the setup, and the trigger. Ree does a good job of that. I’m well versed on indicators so this was of good benefit to me. It’s fairly simple. I like simple. I also like how he equates trading to sex. The psychology of it and the fact that he puts it towards the front of the book. If you don’t have that down you’re going to lose no matter your system. Now the bad. He talks way too much about options. He’s not a day trader, so he explains holding positions for days or more. But at the same time early on he doesn’t want you to have too much stress. The two just don’t mix. I’ve lost a lot of $$$ trading options. I gave that up. You can easily use his “system” to trade ETFs or stocks imho. That’s my plan. He also gives you some bonuses on his web site. A lot of that costs money though. Some have said he pushes his courses on you in the book. I didn’t find that to be the case. So overall this is one of the best trading books I have seen. The one star off is because I don’t think for 99% of traders that options are the way to go.

Love this book!
This is an incredible book. I have been on the trading journey for about a year and have read fifteen or sixteen books in that time. The Tao of Trading led me to look at charts differently, with the importance of the mean, the connection with Fibonacci, and an easy-to-understand options swing trading strategy. The book is a fun read with a ton of information for any trader, regardless of where they are on their journey.

Super Book on Trading
This is an excellent book with very clear explanations regarding trading and the stock market. Very informative. It is easy to follow, not dry or dull. Good for a beginner or someone who has been trading for awhile but wants to up their game.

Excellent book.
One of the best investing books that I have read. He covers all of the necessary topics and many of his ideas and suggestions agree with other authors who I have confidence with their opinions. This is the book I will give to my friends when they ask me to teach them about stock investing and I have been an investor for over 50 years.
