The smoker works great and seems to be durable of good quality. The hive tools and grabber are of course good and it’s a small enough set it’s just the essentials. I liked this rather than getting a giant set of cheap supplies for the same price that I might never use. I can always add later. Have not had a chance to use the de-capper yet but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work well. The pellets work but I have my own preferred methods for smoker materials, which is no knock against what’s in this kit.

I wanted a simple back-up smoker. It's not heavy duty by any means, but it's there in case I need it or for a quick trip. Getting the other accessories was a bonus but the smoker fuel smells bad and doesn't burn very long.

As a beginning beekeeper, I was looking for high quality essentials for my hive. There were many other kits with a lot of extra items. I decided on this one and was not disappointed. This kit has everything I need with no extra fluff AND most importantly the items are all well made. The only thing I wish the manufacturer would have added was some simple instructions for starting and optimizing the smoke in the smoker. I did a little research on my own and was able to produce smoke satisfactorily with little effort.

The smoker is the right size for me and better than the one I used to have.

As a nu beekeeper, I wanted good value for my first set of bk tools. All the tools seem to be better than decent quality. The smoker is full size, and pretty decent. The metal gauge is a little thinner on the smoker than I would prefer, and the bellows material probably won't last a full season, but it should work well enough to get me started. If the bellows rip, it can easily be patched. If I stay with bee keeping, I probably will upgrade the smoker. The frame removal tool looks to be good quality. The general hive tools are metal and seem decent. The honey de-capper (claw looking thing-a-mahjig) looks to be better than decent quality.I would have been happy with everything even at 2x the price. Looking forward to the spring, and the arrival of my bee packages.
