Fantastic visibility and functionality
If you have need to signal a warning in the dark, these are hard to beat! Flares are the best way I know to be able to drop a warning signal to get a driver to slow down when approaching a scene. There is something that is a bit jarring to the senses when you see that colored flame shooting out. They are hard to ignore! They also make a fantastic back up fire starter for foul weather! DO NOT use these in a fire danger area! Other than that, spend the money and get some flares!

Had a bad batch, but company replaced immediately! I will continue to do business with this company.
Update!!! This company replaced my bad batch IMMEDIATELY! ("Things" happen) I will continue to do business with them AND see what else they carry considering how well they stood behind their product!FYI,,, When the new batch came in, I threw one of the flares in the freezer overnight lit it off the next morning and it burned without issue for approx. 33 minutes.Previous review:Last Oct. we purchased a case of 36 flares for our fire district. We finally had a situation where we needed them for significant traffic control. ALL 6 of the flares that we TRIED (stored in 2 separate apparatus) all died in less than 5 minutes! The flares where in vehicles that are outside by dry at approx. 26 degrees F. We have never had an issue with any flares in the past in MUCH colder temps. Did we just happen to get a bad batch?? Will you warranty them?? Depending on this company's response, I will change my review or double down....

Love theses flares. Easy to use. Takes up little space in the trunk.

Be prepared. I had to use some the other night.
Just the other night on a dark on ramp I saw a car had gone off the road and down the embankment. I put out six of these and cars and help could see there was an incident. Then we could assist safely.

Shelf life
I had a couple of these in the back of my jeep for about 15 years. I needed one to help charge a tire. And it still worked.

These are not like the good old day flares that you can trust to do the job. Do not be on a rush to get them to lite up. Plan ahead on your next accident or emergency needs.
