2010 Ford Focus with Sync- READ THIS

This will not 100% work for a 2010 Focus with sync, though I don't believe Sync is the issue. The red (switched power) wire doesn't align to anything on the car. But there's also NO SWITCHED POWER anywhere in the radio on this vehicle. (There's constant power to the radio face and a relay inside that triggers when the car is started to give it to the radio) My only option was to fuse tap off the sole fuse with the behavior I needed. (Remain powered until door opens) Of which the car has 1- ambient lighting. I was able to locate a wire from 5 of the 8 steering wheel buttons (grey/yellow and the blue/white to ground) but this harness didn't have a wire in the grey/yellow spot, so had to move a pin is all. Never did figure out the remaining 3 buttons and gave up after I blew a fuse. Found a wiring diagram that implied they required some additional components and I was installing a full touch screen so didn't care anyway.Only adding this review to help anyone else facing this same situation. Couldn't find a single harness anywhere that stated it was for this car and now I know why. It still worked, but required modification and a fuse tap. The other options are like $150 and that's just dumb.

WORKED PERFECT for my 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis.

WORKED PERFECT for my upgrade of the factory tape deck in my 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis to a nice Android Auto-compliant dual-DIN touchscreen radio (installing a dual-DIN in the non-standard Ford chassis required a little dremelling with my power drill, but that only took a few minutes). I did not need the antenna adaptor- the factory antenna matched perfectly with the new after-market radio I bought.IMPORTANT NOTE: instructions say that ORANGE/WHITE wire is not used. NOT TRUE! That's the "illumination" wire that puts out 12vdc when you turn on the headlights to signal the radio to dim the screen (important if you don't want your radio's screen to blind you at night!). I put my meter on the four unused brown wires, but they don't seem to do anything (except for one, that puts out a few volts until I put the car in drive, then it goes to zero. Hmm...) I never found any actions in my car that triggered the "PHONE MUTE" wire, so I left that disconnected.

Exact fit and match.

Soldered my radios connector to this adapter and it worked like a champ. The connection was an easy fit. No altercations. Went with the manual and the wire colors matched up fine. Instructions were accurate. They even told me to ignore the brown wires. They’re not in use, but at least they are present if you need them. Antenna adapter was spot on. It all worked great. Value for the money is excellent.

Didn’t work, wasted time and effort.

Paired it with a brand new Kenwood. No power, checked wiring everything was fine. Done many of these in the past, ended up returning that stereo… and putting a known working stereo in my Ford. Still no power, there’s something wrong with the harness. Wasted hours of my time due to this item not working. Absolute mess.

Not a perfect match, curious if it will still work.

Currently I am still awaiting for delivery (which should be today), but I was getting my new head unit ready and pulling the stock one out of the vehicle, when I noticed some differences.I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid vehicle. It has the audiophile package (factory amp + subwoofer) in the rear, but it does not have a touchscreen nor navigation unit. I am looking to upgrade to a double din Android touch screen head unit.I've been worried about getting the correct wiring harness, as there are differences between all of the harnesses I've looked at. Some have just the bigger 24 pin connector + smaller 8-pin connector. Some have an extra "plastic box unit" that always seems to go with "retain steering wheel controls"? I don't have steering wheel controls. The photo included so what was plugged into the back of the stock radio unit (remember it's not a touch/nav unit). From my understanding this wiring harness supports the big 24-pin connector and the 8-pin connector, but not the 16-pin connector that my stock radio has. From my research, apparently the 8-pin connector controls the factory amp+sub. The 24-pin connector is normal as it provides power, speaker, etc hookups for factory setup. However, what is the 16-pin connector for and why can't I find a wiring harness with that? Well, I did, but it was like $100+. According to a factory wiring replacement, the 16-pin connector has descriptions of "charger and auxillary". So, my assumption is that the 16-pin connector might not be necessary? There is an aux port under my radio, in the same area as the cigarette lighter port. To me it's not a big deal if that doesn't work. I'm not sure what other functionality I might be missing without this 16-pin connector though. I'm unsure if I'll have to return this and order on the more expensive, more complex, more functional harnesses yet...Edit: I received the harness. Color matched everything to the new aftermarket unit, and plugged the harness into the unit and vehicle. I definitely heard the pop from the amp/sub, but the unit doesn't turn on. I know my wiring is good and fuses are good. I'm curious if not having the middle sized 16-pin connector is causing the issue. The only way to test this is to order a $100 harness and test 👎

From a Sony to a 2007 F350 SuperDuty this kit was perfect.

I replaced the CD player with a Sony XAV-AX4000 7-Inch Multimedia Receiver, which was also a perfect fit. I soldered the conversion kit to the Sony wiring harness. It was nearly a perfect match, even the colors matched. The conversion kit had a few extra wires (4 brown wires) for components that I did not have. I just bent them over and taped them off.
