Generally good. Motion detection too enthusiastic. File upload is insecure.
UPDATE: The Reolink team offered me a discount on my next purchase for the lack of sFTP support. Fair enough, until having agreed a small percentage discount and bought another camera they WELCHED on the discount. Nice going Reolink. Expect customer service with a smile, a promise and … ZERO FOLLOW THROUGH.I hope Reolink enjoys its $10.Original post:Set up and operation was a dream. Working within minutes. Good pictures to my phone and pc without any complex set up. Microphone is clear. Two gripes: The movement detection is trigger happy. Rain, bugs, birds all trigger a recording even with settings on low sensitivity. Min detection size doesn’t prevent a bug shooting across the field of view triggering. In one night I had 36 emails. It was raining. So unless you’re keen to review hours of footage then you’ll end up turning off notifications. But I bought it for the view not security so not a problem. The second issue is that the camera can’t upload footage to a web host (for remote storage) using sFTP. This means that your footage can be intercepted/hacked. Probably not an issue to most people but a surprising omission. The support team have been responsive but I await a solution.

Good picture and person/vehicle detection (motion not so much)
The picture quality is good. Not great, it can't possibly be with the 8Mbps stream bandwidth at 8MP resolution. It can be used stand-alone or connected to a NVR; standalone can record on an SD card or store on a FTP server. The person/vehicle detection works great if you tweak the parameters a bit for minimum/maximum size plus duration. Motion detection is useless unless you place it indoors - too sensitive or too insensitive. There are severe compression artifacts with only 8Mbps bandwidth - to the point where you'd wonder if it's 8MP or just an upscaled 2MP sensor, but it's a security camera, not one for wining an Oscar.Night vision is good to about 60ft realistically. If there is a real floodlight to assist then the image is quite good. Even moonlight helps at greater distances.Push notifications are a bit annoying, going as often as 30sec and there is no picture or app deeplink to play from the event attached to the notification, all you can do is go to the live view. Emailed pictures for events on the other side are spot on (for person/vehicle).Some features are lost if you connect the camera to the monitoring ports of the Reolink NVR, but if you have it on the LAN side you can access them (such as pet detection) via the app.In all not bad given the price, features and image quality, plus it works seamlessly with the Reolink NVR.

Can't go wrong with it.
Setup: Super easy! Love that no account is required for a 3rd party server. Software finds it automatically and made it easy.Camera Angle: Worse part of the camera. Wish it was wider but its decent. Im coming from Amcrest so was used to the super wide angles. I will need 2 of these cameras to cover the same view as the Amcrest cameras.Quality: Great! Feels sturdy as well and the view quality is crisp and very clear.AI Alerts: Spot on! Dog got out 30 minutes after I installed and I didnt know it. Camera alerted me an animal was spotted. Sure enough my dog was running with their freedom lol.Smart Home Integration: Works however did have to setup a account on reolink for this feature.Overall: Giving a 4/5 of 5 due to the low camera angle. I do however plan to use Reolink moving forward.

Excellent
Here's a five-star review for the Reolink 4K Security Camera Outdoor System:Title: Crystal-Clear Security, Day and NightReview:This Reolink 4K security camera system has exceeded my expectations! The video quality is absolutely stunning, even in low-light conditions. The 100ft IR night vision is a major plus, and the human/vehicle detection feature is incredibly accurate. I love that I can receive instant alerts on my phone when motion is detected, giving me peace of mind knowing my property is always protected. The setup was a breeze, and the app is user-friendly. Highly recommend this system for anyone looking for top-notch security and crystal-clear footage.
