For FAT 50 (SAW) can, not standard .50 cal.
It is a great value for the price. It holds the magazines nice and tight.I realized after it arrived that it wasn't for a standard .50 cal can. Good thing I had an extra FAT 50 can lying around, so...no big deal for me. It was a little long, so I trimmed the ends off. It cut very easy with a serrated knife.Even though it wasn't a quick drop in, overall I'm pretty pleased with it.

This will NOT fit a 50 cal ammo can as described.
Foam between slots is thin and flimsy. The foam is a good quality though so it will last if you take extreme care when inserting the magazines. Be sure to measure the can you want to use it in because it WILL NOT fit a standard 50 cal ammo can.will work much better if you glue it down to the can you use.

Perfect
This is an awesome way to hold magazines! I used them in a tool box, you can cut the sides down with a bread knife if you need to and it will still hold everything up just fine. I have one full and it's great and the other is half and again no problems holding everything straight and secure. I am super impressed, much easier than trying to cut your own pick apart foam.

They work
The foam is soft and tears easy between magazines. But will hold 15 magazines, preferably as a can insert.

Get what’s in the picture
Guess you get what’s in the picture and only that, other types of inserts have a 1” bottom insert and egg crate padding for ammo box lid

Some trimming required...
...if you intend to use this in a ".50 Cal" Plastic Ammo Box i.e. MTM. It's a piece of foam, so as far as durability; who knows. I had to do some significant trimming to get it to fit into my Zombie Ammo Box.

Too Big for Standard US 50cal Cans
As others have noted, this thing does not fit any standard US ammo can, as far as I can tell. Anyone know of a Russian, Chinese, or Israeli can that this may have been suited for?Seemed like a slam dunk, but didn't think I needed to research this before the sale. Here are the particulars...Inside dimensions of standard and "fat" 50 cal US ammo cans:- M2A2 50cal: 11" x 5-1/2" x 7"- PA108 "Fat 50": 11-3/4" x 6-3/4" x 8-1/4"Dimensions of this foam POS garbage from HQ Issue:13" x 3" x 7"As it turns out, the foam insert is designed to fit the plastic "50 cal" ammo can that this vendor (HQ Issue) also sells. Very misleading. If you look of the dimensions of their plastic can, it's big like a tackle box, or something. Wouldn't stack on standar mil-spec ammo cans, either.
