Well designed and easy to assemble. Using a heat gun to soften the wax when connecting the box joints definitely makes it easier.

No matter what company you order one of these kits from it is best to first dry fit all the pieces together. Making sure that you are assembling the product together correctly. If there is no predrilled pilot holes for screws or nails using the nail and screw diameters drill holes about two sizes smaller. Also it helps to use ratchet straps to hold the box Square during assembly. For the most part take your time and be very patient during assembly. Now assembling the frames I felt the nails that came with the kit were to fat. So what I used instead of the nails that came with the kit were 1/34" paneling nails has I have used the same nails for all of my frames previously to purchasing this kit along with Gorilla Wood Glue. This product is awesome as the company's customer service is very awesome. Also stay away from using a power screw driver or power nail gun. Use a hammer to pound nails and a screw driver for driving screws.

Loved the fact that they went super heavy on the bees wax coating...both on the foundation and on the hive body. Great looking final box with the brand and deep wax natural wood color. My other hive bodies are painted white. I wish I had a whole hive with this natural finish, now.Assembly isn't hard. It just takes a bit of time to do right. On the hive body, make sure to keep checking that you are square and that it's sitting flat. I drove myself nuts until I figured out that my garage floor wasn't flat. get something to check it on that you know is flat. A little glue on the frames made for super strong bonds and then I used my brad gun to tack it all together. I didn't have the patience to hammer all the frames together with the frame nails. The hive body was fine to use the included nails, but I did pre drill some holes for the nails so nothing split out. My only nitpick is that they could have predrilled those holes for me. Overall, a successful project and a nice way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday afternoon.PS bees seem to be happy with the extra space.

Received the package in tact, took a few minutes to figure the pieces out and get them put together. I didn’t want to force them together and break them but once I got them pushed together I used a rubber mallet to “tap” them tight. Screws provided, built the. Provided frames, and put them to use. So far they work great and are very sturdy, well made.I will be buying Hoover products for my bee keeping in the further.

I needed to add a deep to a new hive that was growing much faster than expected.I'm basically happy and would buy this again. The box is excellent. The foundations are nicely coated with wax. My only problem (and it was significant) is that the wooden frames were not great. Tons of splinters and virtually every one split in one place or another.I would definitely buy this again but I'd figure some better way of assembling the frames - maybe use a brad nailer or pre-drill with a tiny bit.

Looks good and feels solid. Arrived early and in good condition. Only problem is one foundation not shipped. I have contacted seller and I think they will ship the foundation. If they do send the foundation, I will buy more of this product from them, but for now only 3 stars.The foundation was replaced right a way with no problem. I will buy more when needed. Change to 5 Stars good product and good customer service.

I just installed a nuc into this brood chamber and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the components. I did need to assemble the product myself, but the included instructions are clear and make the process easy to complete. They have weathered the summer very well so far and I have not had any issues with the bees inside of this hive body.

I honestly don’t know why there are so many good reviews. These were of very poor quality. Many of the frames came with wood that was split and in poor condition before even assembling. The box was waxed and a beautiful color however the Dovetail ends would not fit together properly and left huge gaps. While trying to push the ends together to fix gaps, they split and I was concerned they may break off and cause even more issues.the box had pre drilled holes that allowed for the supplied screws to screw in, however the wood was so soft and brittle it began to split as we screwed them in. We ended up using more screws to secure the box together.Our package was missing the 10th frame waxed centerpiece. I reached out to the seller to let them know of the box splitting and the missing 10th frame and they have not addressed the issues.Please do not waste your money on this product and having to deal with this seller
