Zelotes 5500 DPI 7 Button LED Optical USB Wired Gaming Mouse Mice for Pro Gamer

I purchased this mouse back in July 2015 to replace my unexceptional wireless mouse, and as of at least fifteen million clicks later, it's still the best part of my setup. I've replaced bargain keyboards and even a headset since, but the mouse still works as well as the day it showed up at my front door. I expected to have to replace this within the year, but even as of writing this, I'm not considering it yet.Overall,Pros: Durability, accuracy, intuitive button placement, sturdy cord, resistant to wearCons: Displays dirt easily, side and double click buttons feel flimsy, bottom heavyBUTTONS- The left click and double click button are the main buttons I use in gameplay. To date, there's undoubtedly been at least 10-15 million clicks, with the bulk of that being on the seemingly flimsy double click button, since I'm a filthy cheater. There is no noticeable delay between left clicking and seeing the click animation for my chosen game on screen. Same goes for right click. I use the middle button as a hotkey for a hard to reach inventory slot- it has historically been the first button to lose functionality on my previous right-hand men, but it's still just as sensitive as it's always been. As far as the DPI adjustor, I really like the placement of the button. Even with my frequent use of the MMB, I very rarely graze the DPI button in the crossfire.The 2 side buttons ("Forward" and "Back") have always been less sensitive than everything else. I use them for my 2 main item slots. The first slot, “Forward” is usually at least useable. There is a slight delay, but nothing huge, maybe 50ms. I can use it at the same time as other mouse buttons or keyholds and know that it will always switch. The second button though, “Back”, is much more finicky. There is a noticeable delay when using the button at rest, probably up to .5 seconds, and more if there are other simultaneous inputs. Every 2-3 times (if in succession) this button does not register, or will incorrectly register as “Forward”. These buttons have not changed over time- as unresponsive as they are now is as unresponsive they were on day one.CORD- Typically, no cord is safe from the cat. I'm lucky if I get 6 months before it starts to fray. This one, though is extremely durable; still not a single split to be found. My only downside is that it's actually shorter than me, and I’m only 5’3”.FEEL- The mouse is slightly bottom heavy, but over time I’ve adjusted my grip accordingly. The thumb side has a protrusion on which I rest my thumb. Not sure if that’s by design, but either way it’s nice. My hands are fairly small, but the buttons are placed in such a way that both I and my brother, who is much larger than me, are able to use them while holding the mouse comfortably.APPEARANCE- Overall, aesthetically pleasing. Fairly easy to cycle through colors, just hold “Forward” until it switches (although it took me far longer than I care to admit to figure that out). I expected discoloration on the hand area, as this is an inexpensive mouse, but there is none. The silver on the double click and Forward/Back buttons has begun to fade, but considering I didn’t even expect them to work anymore this far down the road, I can happily say that I’m okay with that. Only downside is that it requires cleaning much more often than other equipment- there are lots of gaps where dirt and grime can collect, including the grooves on the sides, where the LEDs just light up your filth.Didn't clean it before taking pics so the problem dirt areas are more visible.

I have been using this mouse for two weeks now and I must admit, it is a bargain.Build QualityThe buttons click well and the mouse scrolls well. The real test is durability and I will have to update this in about six months to write a fair assessment. The mouse has a matte finish on the left and right buttons and where the rear portion of your palm rests. The finish is smoother where the text “FOR THE GAME” appears. Have I encountered any “slipping” issues yet? No, but please keep in mind this is an early review. The braided cord is (surprisingly) of excellent quality.LightingThe colors rotate between red, green, blue, purple and yellow respectively and continuously. I personally do not find the constantly rotating colors a nuisance, but some might so please keep that in mind.Scroll Wheel/DPI ButtonThe scroll wheel is rubberized with grooves and feels fine, no problems scrolling. The DPI button is located just below the scroll wheel, and I love that I can select the DPI without the necessity of software. The DPI button placement does not interfere with use (my opinion). I have listed below the DPI-to-color relationship.1000 DPI - Red1600 DPI - Green2400 DPI - Blue3200 DPI - Purple5500 DPI – YellowComfortNow keep in mind this is the first mouse that I have owned with a thumb, ring-finger and pinky rest and I must say that I find it extremely comfortable. I have been diagnosed with slight Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and the ergonomics are terrific. But the comfort is due to a combination of the ergonomics AND finding the correct DPI which result in less wrist movement. I love the fact that the DPI can be selected via a button just below the scroll wheel. Which DPI is best? That is a preference that only the user can determine.SummaryOverall I am very pleased with the cost-to-performance-and-feel of this mouse. I play some games but use the mouse for general purpose and again, it is very, very comfortable. I have not attempted to program the buttons, I’ll probably try that later. I have set a Task in my Outlook six months from now to write an update, I’ll let you know how well it holds up.Update 11/9/2015Here's the promised update:* The mouse is still working, hardly any wear and tear but then again I am not a heavy duty gamer, everyday computer use, some World of Warships, World of Tanks and StarCraft 2 every now and then.* The mouse still feels very comfortable for my hands.* My only (minor) complaint is that the mouse does not include programmable software. I found a third party software called X-Mouse Button Control, which is fine if you want the pre-programmed button options. So far I have not found a way to program the buttons to my desire, but it's better than nothing.
