Pleasantly amazed!
I was honestly hesitant about buying this bike rack, particularly given the comparatively low price tag. But I couldn't justify spending hundreds on something I only needed a few times a year, especially for a bike that's old enough to vote. Since I drive a Prius hatchback, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find an affordable option that would work with my car – until I found this little gem!PROS:- STORAGE BAG: I love the fact that it comes with a storage bag, to keep it compact and organized when not in use. Without the bag, it would be more challenging to store and transport, particularly with all the straps involved.- EASY TO ASSEMBLE: The instructions are remarkably clear and comprehensible, with options for multiple body types. It took a little bit of study the first time to get it assembled and attached to the car (mainly because I was paranoid about doing it wrong), but from then on, it's a piece of cake.- SURPRISINGLY STURDY: I was wary about the stability of any folding/collapsible model, but when it's snapped into place and strapped to the car, it doesn't budge!– UP TO 2 BIKES: There's room for 2 bikes on this rack, although I've only used it for 1 so far. But I like that I have the option for a second bike.CONS: I only have 2 minor quibbles, but they're not big deals to me, particularly as the rack is so high quality yet affordable otherwise:- STRAP FRICTION: This one is kind of unique to the design of my car than to the bike rack, but worth considering. The straps are your standard heavy-duty ribbed design, which makes them super strong, but it also means that the straps could damage the finish on your car if they're allowed to rest against the body at any points of tension/friction. The design of my car necessitates that they rest at the point where the hatch bends from a gentle slope to being perpendicular with the road, so to avoid wear or friction damage at that point, I simply wrapped that portion of the straps with electrical tape, which seems to have worked great.- NOT AS STRAIGHTFORWARD FOR SLOPING CROSSBARS: If you're transporting a male bicycle with a [nearly] horizontal crossbar, you won't have any issues. But if you have a female bike or one with a heavily sloped crossbar, you're going to have to get creative to keep it from riding too high on the rack to be stable/secure or so low so that one side drags along the ground. There are adaptors you can buy separately to accommodate for this, although I haven't tried any of them personally.CONCLUSION: Well worth the price, and I've actually gotten a lot more use out of it than I'd initially anticipated. Highly recommended!

Fits Mini Cooper S Hardtop (2013) PERFECTLY!
This rack was SUPER easy to install. I am rather small and it took me less than 5 minutes to install by myself! The arms collapse when you don't need to carry bikes OR if you just want to carry one bike. ALSO, I can still open my hatch!! I love it. It's fairly lightweight (I could definitely carry it in the sling bag that came with it), but I will probably just leave it on my car even when I am not transporting my bikes because it's so slim and does not hinder my normal motoring. Will update this review once I've actually carried my bikes on it, but so far I LOVE IT!UPDATE: I carried mine and my boyfriend’s bike on this rack yesterday. My bike fits perfectly. However, because of how I put the rack on my hatch (a little lower than the instructions per another Mini owner’s suggestion), my boyfriends bike was only about 5 inches off the ground. It still worked fine, but I had to go over speed bumps at an angle to prevent the bike from touching. Overall, I still love this rack. It’s very sturdy with the bikes on it. It works surprisingly well with my very small car. I still love that I can use my hatch while the rack is on my car. I would definitely recommend this rack, especially for hatchbacks.

Inexpensive option that stayed solidly on my vehicle.
Drove from Illinois to Virginia. Stayed in place - didn't damage the car. I have a 2023 RAV 4 LE with no roof rack or trailer hitch - and bike rack options aren't great. The Allen Sports website says they don't make a bike rack for the 2023 RAV 4 LE and seems like no one will say their rack works. But...another website recommended it as an option for the RAV 4 and with two bikes to haul halfway across the country, I gave it a shot. The rack is relatively easy to install - but for RAV 4 owners - if you mount the top part of the rack above the rear window wiper (and the lower part on the license plate) which is what the picture of it mounted on an SUV shows you to do, then the two horizontal straps naturally end up where the turn signals plastic is and that's not a good mount. I mounted them below that and if you have a RAV 4, you'll see that it's an imperfect fit. Yet, with the two top straps and the lower strap tight - I drove 700 highway miles and the rack did not move a bit and we hit a rough highway patches. I'm giving it four stars because (and others have mentioned this) it's supposed to be for two bikes, but getting two bikes up there was a huge pain. I have a road bike and a mountain bike and had to remove one seat, and seriously considered taking off the pedals before finally managing to get them both situated. It really would have helped if they would have given an extra 2 inches between bike mounts. Bottom line - it works, it's inexpensive, and I recommend it for those without options.

PERFECT FOR MINI COOPER ....
MINI COOPER DRIVERS, don't let anyone tell you you can't have a bike rack on your Mini, or that you need a specially-installed rack from a fancy store or the dealership.I have been using this bike rack on my Mini Cooper S since 2021 and it is phenomenal. The pressure of the bike pushes against the bottom leg of the rack/license plate area, so there is very little to no pressure placed on the window. The 2 top straps fit perfectly over the hood of the trunk. The side straps fit perfectly to the sides of the trunk, and the bottom strap folds around inside and fits into a little pocket on the inside of the trunk door (it's there I promise).I have had a mountain bike and a cruiser bike, both pretty hefty, on this rack for nearly 4 years and it works phenomenally well.
