Q: Are these silver, painted black, or black plastic without paint?

They ship as "black" but the "black" is actually primer. I am sending mine back. The reason I bought them in the first place was because NO WHERE in the description does it state that they are primered and designed as "paint to match". The following is from an email I received from HubcapsPlus: "This item is listed as a paint to match item. To return the part for a refund please use the information below and once received we will issue a refund." After carefully reviewing the description on Amazon yet again I have found NO statement that these are a "paint to match" item. I consider that to be very deceptive.

Q: Are they molded plastic? matte black? some reviews state they need to be painted? i want a black mirror for my fj.

They're semi-gloss, black molded plastic, feel kind of cheap, so I had mine sprayed with line-x, along with the rest of the FJ.

Q: Do the mirrows come with the lights installed?

Yes, they DO have the lights installed. But, a warning...these are PRIMERED ONLY!!! Unless you plan to have them painted black be warned!!! The primer WILL erode off leaving you with gray side mirrors. If you want black mirrors that are ALREADY PAINTED BLACK you MUST buy Trail Teams Edition mirrors from Toyota.
