Essentially unusable
The machining and construction of this tool is so poor it is essentially unusable for it's intended purpose.Attempting to crimp a boot clamp results in the clamp "spitting out" of the jaws regardless of how many hands/fingers you have involved in the process.After a considerable amount of grinding and reshaping it could be made to function but just barely.Look elsewhere or be frustrated.Just so sad the wally-mart of web stores continues to peddle such trash.

Cheap but works
Cheap quality at a fair price. It works well for its intended use. I just needed it for 2 clamps but now I have one. I would recommend this for anyone who would be using it every once in a while.

Definitely a cheap tool, Dont buy!!!
I was excited to buy this tool to crimp my clamps on the 2 driveshaft axles boots that I was rebuilding. The first time I tried using the tool, it held up and conpressed the first clamp, however, the tool arm bent on an angle. I straightened it out as much as I could and tried crimping the next clamp when one of the teeth completely bent out. The product is made out of very cheap metals and is not worth it. Buy yourself a better tool to do the job or you’ll be better off getting a professional to do it for you with his/her tools.

Excellent tool

You’ll get stuck with your car taken apart.
Long story short this tool was bad right out of the box. The teeth were crooked and too thick to bite on the CV clamp so I didn’t use it. I bought two more of these from the auto parts store just to get the job done. One broke on the first use, the other I had to grind it to get it to bite and lasted long enough to get my axles done, but was so bent it wouldn’t work anymore. I threw them away. The quality control on these is horrendous. All three were each bent and machined slightly differently.

Tool is flimsy and the crimp is not good.
As a profesional tech/mechanic I wouldn't recommend to buy this tool. It's flimsy and the crimp is not good.
