Great Pool Pump
Great upgrade from C530 pump. This pump is great for our 12x30 intex prism pool. We needed to upgrade as the original pool pump didn’t seem to circulate the water well and the filters stayed dirty a lot last year. The set up was easy and it has keep the pool clean and keep the water moving great. I ordered the A type filters as well and it has an indicator in the top of the pump to let me know when it needs changing. No more guessing. So far we are pleased with our purchase.

HUGE improvement
I purchased this to upgrade from the original filter that came with my Intex pool. All I can say is WOW! This made a huge improvement in water flow. The power is much stronger, and the pool stays cleaner for way longer. For reference, I have a 10x30 Intex pool, and I put this filter on. As of late July, I've only replaced the filter once. The pool has been crystal clear, and you can actually see the water flow. The price is worth the upgrade; you will not be disappointed.

Perfect purchase
I upgraded from the smaller pump, set up was very easy & works amazing. Everything fit perfectly and the design is better then my last pump. Definitely better quality than the smaller pump. The power is great and cleared my pool within a few hours, couldn’t be happier.

Difficult at first:
We had a bit of difficulty getting this operating properly. First off, we have a 15ft x 48in above ground pool made by Bestway. The hoses fit, but the accessories did not want to go all the way in against the pool wall. If you have a similar problem: try oiling the ends of the accessories so they'll slide on easily (just a little bit as you don't want that in your pool water: if you haven't filled the pool yet, just wipe off any excess oil. Oil as in vegetable oil or olive oil, or anything else similar for the accessories to slide on).The next problem: getting the water to continuously flow through the hoses. I discovered that they had big air bubbles in it, preventing and slowing the water flow down. I simply shook the hoses to break up the air pockets and it flowed nicely. To test the suction filter, I took a small leaf and put it to the filter and it sucked it right up.It does make a little noise. The machine itself is not noisy (more like a humming sound) but the part on top of the suction filter made an odd sound, at first. Our pool has a lot of debris and I figured out the noise was it suctioning out the debris. If your pool is crystal clear, it probably won't make that noise. I just wrapped some plastic around that part and it muffled the noise. If you place your hand to the suction filter, it will make a gurgling noise for a few seconds, then the water flows normally again. At first, I placed the machine on a table, but I found it works best on the ground for the water to flow through the hoses. If you rather place it on something, make sure it isn't too high, otherwise it causes poor water flow.As far as ease: it was simple to put it together, just a pain to adjust the accessories and hoses, to get the water to flow properly. The one filter (water jet) doesn't have a lot of power, yet it does have enough to move your pool water around. If you have the same size pool or larger, I suggest getting their stronger pump. Affordability-wise, we chose this product to use for now until we can get something stronger. For now, it's doing what it's supposed to do and as long as it works, I'm ok with that. It doesn't have an on/off switch, instead, it has a timer that will auto shut off, or you can just unplug it.

Works Great For My Smaller Pool
We have a small 8ft by 30 minch Funsicle pool. The filter that came with that pool was only 330GPH. I struggled withkeeping it clear even after buying an expensiveand test kit to properly balance my pools water. FInally I came to to the conclusion I needed to upgrade the filter because nothing was working. This pump is half the price of Funsicle's 1000GPH pump. The set up was easy thanks to another reviewer who attached it to their old funsicle pump, so I can't speak on how the installation would be for an Intex pool. It is a tiny but louder than my 330GPH pump but that's to be expected. It works great!!! My pool after the first cycle was crystal clear just like the first day I filled it with water. It has been keeping it clear since! I am very happy with this pumps power and the clarity of my pools water.

C1000 Pump Startup Priming to Remove Air
Works as described. I thought it was very quiet. We have an inflatable 12' x 6' x 22" pool. 740 gallons. To prime ths C1000 pump, turn the pump off, loosen the air valve on top of the pump filter housing. Have a friend hold both hoses upright while you use a garden hose to fill them, until the water comes out of the air valve. Tighten the air valve. Fill the hoses to the top. At the same time now, turn on the pump while your friend submerges both hoses into the filled pool. You should feel strong suction on one hose, and discharge water from the other hose. For our inflatable pool, we zip-tied small hand exercise weights to hold the hoses on the pool bottom.

Powerful filter without breaking the bank!
Love this filter and so happy I purchased it. I got this filter to throw over the side of my blow up pool. Getting this product primed was a little tricky because you need three hands to do it, but once I got a little help, it has been an asset to helping my pool stay clean. Priming trick to get the air out, take a pitcher, fill the housing unit with water, while holding both ends of the tubes up, fill both tubes also all the way with water, then have someone turn the pump on as you shove the tubes into the water. I used fishing weights to hold the tubes down in my pool since I did not install them into the side of the pool. I love how quiet this filter is and how it quickly cleans the water of debris. I also love the timer, so you can set the filter to run for however long you want, based on your individual needs. This product is secure and it is easy to replace the filters. This product does not leak, all parts are snug and fit as they should. The suction is great and keeps the water moving as it recycles it back into the pool. Great product, affordable price and came with everything you needed to get started.
