Q: Can I use this cable to connect a computer in one room to a usb keyboard and usb mouse in an adjacent room?

I would think you could. We purchased this to connect out desktop computer in our home to a power chair out side as we could not get the power chair into the home to use a shorter cable. It worked fine and we have used it several times this way. In fact we had to use 2 of these cables hooked together to reach from the computer to the chair and it worked great.

Q: After hooking it up to a desktop, could I then attach a small usb hub to the end, and use it with two controllers for some convient couch gaming?

I imagine that would work. So long as the devices don't require a lot of power or the hub is a powered one you should be fine.

Q: Will this work to extend the charging/power cord for an iPad?

Mine would allow me to use my iPad as a remote when plugged in; however it did not charge the iPad. I should have returned it since it didn't do what I wanted.
