24 fantasy designs featuring strong females – printed one side of page
Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is the second coloring book I have by artist Chinthaka Herath. The focus is on the female form along with beautiful flowers and animals. As much as I enjoyed the first coloring book by this artist, I am liking this one even more. The females have a strong look to them, kind of like a crusading spirit which appeals to me.There are flowers and jewels and other adornment but, you somehow know that the women in these images are the important part. They stand strong and will continue to stand. One of my favorite images is of a woman in armor with a broadsword. The designs have a nice level of detail. Most have background of a sort included. While there are some intricate areas to color, I don’t consider the book to be a difficult one or one which will tax the eyes or force you to use tiny coloring medium. This is what I found in this coloring book:24 Fantasy Designs are in the bookPrinted one side of the pagePaper is typical inexpensive quality by CreateSpace printing: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding.Glue BindingCreate Space Paper/Media QualityAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work fairly well with this publisher’s paper provided you don’t press extremely hard while coloring. I find that I can layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and blended easily with a pencil style blending stick. This is true of both oil and wax based pencils. I have also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.I like to use a blotter when working in this type of book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.

Beautiful Art!!
I have the first book to this series so had to get this one. Beautiful drawings, some have more detail than others but I'm sure you can find one to start. Paper is a bit on the thin side so best to use pencils.

Artwork will blow your mind!
So I ordered volumes 1&2 for my granddaughter. OK, fine...until I peered inside the cover! Blown away I was! Needless to say my granddaughter ain't getting these! What stunning artwork. I am using COLOR IT and KOH-I-NOOR artists' coloured pictures to bring each subject to life! And trust me! That's just what happens! These girls are so life like once colored that they appear to look right through you with their beauty. Back in the day these two volumes could have been the back drop for a NIGHT GALLERY episode! My wife calls them my new girlfriends. I am a new colorist and anyone who has been doing this hobby for awhile is sure to be humbled by the artwork and the color mixture!

Beautiful Illustrations!
The illustrations in this book are fantastic. I love every single page. The paper is thin and a little more tooth than I prefer for colored pencils but still worth it to have these gorgeous images to color. Once I have actually colored an image from the book I will update on my thoughts and post the picture. This is one of those books that blending may need to be done with mineral spirits or something similar. The pages are printed single sided so you can use marker and gel pens. I think the paper is probably too thin for water mediums though. You will want to make sure to put card stock behind the page you are coloring to protect the next page. For alcohol markers you may need a couple of pieces of card stock.Even though I'm not a fan of the paper I still gave 5 stars because I love the illustrations so much.

Great help to make something not so nice mich more pleasant
Really beautiful art work an easy Ana fun to color. I am finally in remission from breast cancer An found the joy of coloring during my 7 hour long chemotherapy session days, really helped me focus on something else. Now I am home in remission I find myself still coloring these fantasy , beautiful books. Thanks for helping an "not so pleasant time" much better.

Fantasy Images of Strong Women
August Reverie 2 has beautiful fantasy images of strong women. The line art is perfect for coloring. My only complaint is that the paper is thin, but I plan on printing the pages on better paper before I color them.
