I'm going to make this longer than I need to so, it all started yesterday when I went on a 6 mile out and back run and realized at mile 5.99 that my truck key (only one I had) was no longer in my pocket. Fortunately I found it only about a mile in. But it reinforced the need to have more than 1 key. I didn't really want to spend hundreds of dollars buying one from a dealership or even a local vendor and then my dad sent me the link to this. I was skeptical at first because I wasn't convinced it would be to sync to my 2015 truck and actually work but I figured I would just return it if it didn't work. The step by step instructions were great, concise and easy to follow. Definitely well worth the money if youre in need of a second key.

This was a perfect replacement for my 2011 Ram. Good instructions and programming took less than 5 min. Much less expensive that going through the dealer.

Programming was a breeze

It works as advertised. Had to watch a Utube video a couple of times to get the sequence down. Programed 3 keys. Saved lots of money.

Firstly, I wasted $150 on the kit and 2 extra fobs. What they don’t tell you is there are a lot of ‘if’s’ here when installing these fobs. The one that made this a $150 Amazon Box full of rubbish for me was, if you don’t have a fully functional working fob to program your new fobs with, then THEIR INSTALLER LOCKS YOU OUT, and then you can’t program any of them. The first fob programmed and then it locked me out. However, that first fob that programmed, only started the truck, it DID NOT lock or unlock the doors, or remote start up. So what was my reason for wasting $150 on this rubbish? My last fob quit working of course, so me and my wisdom get on Amazon and find this great deal! Not.Secondly, their tech support is ridiculousness. I called 4 times, waited my turn in line each time up to 10 mins each call.The first person, who was difficult to understand, but eventually walked me through the programming, hung up quickly before checking to see if all functions worked properly. Even though I had told him repeatedly that, ‘the little blue light on the fob was not coming on.’ He would only say, ‘it didn’t matter,’ obviously it did matter!Second guy, another person difficult to understand, walked me through what he called an ALTERNATE SETUP, became confused with his own ALTERNATE SETUP, and disconnected the call without warning or salutations when THEIR INSTALLER began a frantic beeping that would not stop until unplugged.Third call, automatically disconnected when someone attempted to connect to the call on their end.The final tech I talked to told me what the problem was. He told me, this was ONE of AT LEAST THREE PROBLEMS that would keep you from being able to program your fobs. They know this but no one tells you this before buying.Thirdly and lastly, I think Amazon should make these guys refund this junk. Because now, I’ve got to find an automotive locksmith that can program my remotes, and pay them to do it. Even if that person doesn’t insist I buy their fobs, I’m gonna wish I’d just gone to my local dealer to start with!

2017 Dodge Ram 1500. Worked perfectly, and was completed in a few minutes. Key currently working. Loses one star for instructions. It states in the begining of the instructions, there is a security tape on the programing device and if it is not present, return the item to the seller. The first one I received did not have the security tape. I did return to amazon without trying the product and received a new one in 2 days. But there was no security tape on the second one either. I went ahead and used it and it worked perfectly. Second there is a small very faint blue light on the key fob that lights during activation and pairing. The instructions describe the light being below the panic button. It was actually in the middle of the key fob. It is easy to miss if you are looking in the wrong place and it is light in the truck when you are programming the key. Otherwise, worked well as described and activation and pairing took less than 5 minutes. Lock and unlock buttons work normally.
