Great campsite lighting, don't need a lantern anymore.
Super convenient for your campsite. Hanging up was a breeze and I was impressed with the brightness. I charged it one time before our camping trip and it lasted 3 nights with 4+ hours of use each night. Kept out to solar charge each day. Small and easy to pack up. The retracting feature worked really well with no kinks in the lights. I'm not sure if the battery I got for the remote was a dud, but the remote didn't work. Not really an issue for me.

Did not last
Love them, but after a few months of continuous outside use one of them stopped working. Wish it lasted longer.

Pretty awesome - and surprisingly great customer service
This light is great. We got it for a camping trip and it lit up our tent one night for the kids and then we strung it easily around our campsite the next for cozy vibes. Unlike our past attempts with twinkle lights, these were simple to roll up and put away just by turning the crank.Several lighting options make it fun and versatile. The solar charging is incredibly convenient when camping and works well. But the USB charging also works well for pre-charging things and the battery lasts a pretty long time.Overall I'm really impressed with this and glad we got it. Will now probably use it for other fun lighting options around the house. The customer service was really great. Our first unit we received worked but then didn't charge. After reaching out to the seller, they were incredibly responsive and upset that we had a bad experience and immediately sent a replacement that arrived quickly and has been working well ever since. This is a really good deal and is backed by a great seller. Thank you!

Really good battery, easy to roll up and pretty bright string lights
I wish it would have a battery indicator on it, but the battery on the string light lasted about 40 hours I was really impressed and they’re very easy to roll up other ones have bound before.

Wonderful!
These lights are so cool - they are powered by both solar and usb, they easily roll into the canister, they are very portable. I think they will work out great to put on bushes at Christmas time. Excited to have found them and I'm going to order more for my grown kids.

SMY Solar Lights Work Well Around the House
I picked up these SMY solar string lights mainly because I wanted some extra light around the back patio without running extension cords everywhere. The fact that they're solar powered was the big selling point for me, no need to fuss with finding an outlet.Right off the bat, the length is impressive. At over 70 feet with plenty of little LED bulbs, it covers a good stretch along the fence line. It gives off a decent amount of light, enough to see what you're doing without being blinding. I like that it comes with a remote control too. It's convenient for turning them on or off or changing the light modes without having to walk over to the panel itself. The solar charging seems to work fine. It soaks up sun during the day and powers the lights for a good while at night. We've had enough sun down here in Del Rio lately. It's useful knowing I can plug it into a USB charger if needed, like if we get a few overcast days in a row, but I haven't had to do that yet. While they call it a 4-in-1 camping light, I haven't messed with the other features much since I got it for static use here at home, but the main string light function is solid. Now, things I'm not totally sold on. The wire connecting the LEDs is pretty thin. It feels like it might be a bit delicate, so I'm hoping it holds up okay being outside permanently. Time will tell on that one. Also, while the light is adequate for atmosphere, don't expect it to light up your whole yard like a floodlight. It’s more for marking an area or adding a bit of mood.Overall, they do what I wanted them to do. They provide light where I didn't have power easily available, they charge themselves up, and the remote adds some ease of use. They're not perfect, mainly my slight worry about the wire strength, but for lighting up a section of the yard without electrical hassle, they get the job done.
