SeachemLaboratories 6505 110 Foam Tidal Filter (2 Pack)

These pads are nice and thick like the ones that come with the tidal 110. For two of them you are definitely paying for the convenience of having an exact cut. I wish tidal would've made a better more simple basket design. Having this odd shape makes it a hassle to cut your own easily without being wasteful. Overall, these work great and fit nice.

Works great

Rather than using filter floss, which creates more plastic waste to pollute, the Seachem Laboratories 6505 110 Foam Tidal Filter is reusable over and over again. Just let them soak in water and rinse and ready to go again. Less is more.

I purchased this for additional sponge capacity on my Seachem Tidal filter, and was pleased to discover that this is a much more useful texture, approximately 40 pores per inch, compared to the very coarse 20 pores per inch of the standard sponge.So, while the standard sponge provides space for some bacterial colonization, it doesn't really filter much. This replacement sponge DOES....I'll probably replace the 20 pore sponge with another one of these.

I pimped out my Tidal 110 filter and am using this foam above the more course original foam, and below a medium foam that I cut to fit. There are so many different combinations of media that one can use in these filters. The Tidal truly is amazing.

La spugna viene proposta a livello commerciale per la sua funzione filtrante meccanica,ma se si utilizzano almeno 2 o più spugne sovrapposte , la stessa può avere anche una funzione filtrante biologica,basta avere l’avvertenza di sciaquare solo quella iniziale con l’acqua dell’acquario,lasciando inalterate le altre.
