Excellent kit. Great for teaching about magnetism and capacitors
Shooter worked first time! Not difficult to assemble but probably better for teen, or adult supervision needed. I would have liked some explanation of how the circuit works to make it a truly educational toy. Also explanation of resistor color code would have been good.Overall though, a great kit. On the plus side, there seem to be extras of several components which is nice, and the case is beautifully made. Disagree with reviewer that said "underwhelming performance" You have to play with the shooter 'barrel' and the 'bullet' location to get the optimum position relative to the coil. That's part of the fun of a DIY / educational toy! I can shoot at least 5 feet horizontally, admittedly with a 'drop' of about 18". But it's definitely viable as a toy to shoot, say, a tower of soda cans.

Amazing Electrical Engineering Project
It's complicated, you need to have a bit of prior knowledge or a good web-source to build this right on the first try. The final product is worth any hassle though, you end up with a cool desk toy that you can shoot projectiles with.Only real complaint is that the red 100% LED doesn't light up, and I know it's not just my build because I've seen other people on here complaining about it as well.ALSO: if you're wondering why the projectile is firing backwards, push the tube in more so that some of it is sticking out the back side of the launcher, then push the projectile into that bit without letting it go past the copper coil part. The magnetic field flings it randomly when you slide it directly into the black copper coil chamber. In summary, fun build, it works, I loved it, worth the money spent.

Arrived with hidden damages. Still a great kit!
One of the most thought out kits I've ever assembled. The design of the electronics section of this kit make it a pleasure to put together.Unfortunately, I had to request a complete replacement after almost completed, because of broken plastic pieces that could not be seen when first inspected.Unable to find where to contact the seller directly for replacement pieces so had to process it through Amazon. This kit gets 5 stars, but lack of ability to get pieces replaced instead of returning for complete replacement of the kit is annoying.

Get Ready for a Headache
Instructions are unclear involving wiring and it's like a magic trick trying to put it together at the end.

Seller was great!
The seller and product were top notch, no issues. The problem was with delivery. I’ve had several delays in getting stuff from you lately. No explanation or even an apology, stuff just not delivered as promised. Do better on your end.
