I'm in the process of upgrading my kitchen essentials, and this Senken magnetic knife block crafted from acacia wood and stunning blue resin is a game-changer. It's not just a storage solution; it's an impressive work of art that has already elicited compliments from my friends. The artisans behind this creation have truly elevated the concept of kitchen accessories to a whole new level!What sets this knife block apart is not just its aesthetic appeal but its functionality and quality craftsmanship. There are powerful magnets embedded within the smooth finish of the wooden frame that securely hold a variety of knives, from small utility blades to larger chef’s knives, allowing for easy access while keeping them organized. The block is extra large and its double-sided magnets allow storage of knives both in the front and back. It has freed up drawer space in my kitchen and made it easy for me to select the right knife for the right job. It has also inspired me to replace my old, junky steak knives, which don’t do this board justice at all. I’m planning to order a set of cerulean blue Senken knives to display on this board.If you're looking to elevate your culinary space and showcase your knives in style, this magnetic knife block is a must-have. It would also make an incredible gift, (although I’m not going to part with mine). It's gorgeous, practical, and truly exceeded my expectations.

Quality and beauty is great, but was more inconvenient then convenient for me. I liked the idea of not having the block, because people really risk dulling/damaging knives when putting them in/out of blocks. Especially, when they don't even think before putting them in, by putting the knife blade down into the block (sawing the wood). When you're someone who invests a lot of money into your knives, this can really tweak you. So, I liked the idea of this knife holder. But I'm also someone who doesn't like a lot of items on the counter. This item takes up more space than a block (no matter how you place it), because if you have a variety of knives you have to have access to both sides to fit all. The legs are a big killer on the space, if they were faced flush with the board instead of vertical, this would be an improvement. Or if this could hang on the wall, that could also help with the amount of space it takes (if you have less knives). I didn't find the single magnet strip all that functional. The magnet had some issues holding up my bigger knives (ex chief). As pet owner (shedder) I don't like exposing my cookware so pet hair can just stick to it (all day long). I thought, I could leave the knife sleeves on, but like I said the single magnet strip wasn't doing it already, so that was out. If it was stronger and there were more magnets so that knifes can wear their sleeves and can be positioned 360 degrees (current setup, this isn't possible), then it would have worked. So, end the end, I had to return this and go back to the drawing board. If you don't mind counter clutter, don't worry about hair/dust, and don't have a large set of knives, this would work for you & be beautiful in your kitchen.

The knife holder looks nice but is slightly warped so there is a trick to having the knives stick properly. I would not purchase again.
