Nice reel
Price was very goodI’ve used shimano for ever . This real is replacing 20 year old reel . Very smooth.I paid 90.00 years ago . The reel is not the same quality but that go’s without saying. I actually bought 2 1000 and 1 - 2500 to replace old reels .No one repaired anymore and u can’t get parts so I’m still really happy with reels

Most disappointed Ive ever been with a company and amazon…
I never like leaving bad reviews and barely do, but this one is necessary. I received my reel a few weeks ago, unboxed it, spooled it up with some really nice power pro line, probably $50 worth all in. After spooling it up i notice the drag is not working properly. It slips like there’s no resistance and there’s no clock when lines being pulled, even lost two bass.Contacted the company they said that they cannot do anything without me returning it and taking the line off. Im really disappointed they can’t even send me part or just a replacement. Ive spent 10s of thousands of dollars with Shimano just for this one negative experience. I love all of my stradics and Saragossas.Amazon Says because it’s a third party seller there’s absolutely nothing they can do. How can they do nothing? The company is using THEIR platform.So disappointed with this company. Products and QC is usually good, but apparently customer service is not, even when they’ve made 10s of thousands of dollars off of you in the past. :(

my gosh... what a great reel
This hits the sweet spot for surf-fishing along the coast of the Pacific, and lake fishing. Looove how smooth the action is... just fantastic.

Shimano Stradic 2500SHG 2023
I have an older white Stradic 2500FG that is awesome but this one is better internally with trickled down Stella gears plus other internals such as Infinity drive which helps freespool and handle tension when working lures under heavy drag, upgraded water resistance and line management. The only thing I wish Shimano would add is carbon fiber drags for the smaller reels and possibly a extra deeper spool, other than that they are pretty flawless. This reel is exceptionally smooth.
