Put some of this around your tomatoes at the time of planting. And though out the growing season really helps to keep blossom end rout to a minimum.

I have found that calcium nitrate is the best solution to preventing blossom rot in tomato plants. Use 1 tsp. per gallon of water on potted plants or 1 T. Per gallon on field planted tomatoes.Also great on pepper plants.

Our garden has low N, high P and K. We apply this once a week as a foliar spray along with a micronutrient mix and it's doing good so far.

This is a nice clean dissolving product. It loves to absorb water from the air, be sure to seal it up air tight immediately, and do not use thin plastic bags.I tried a different brand (yellow and red) from the local garden store, which along with being a local source was half of the price per pound. But it was coated in a thick layer of terrible smelling petroleum gloop. Probably to reduce water absorption in handling and storage, but I wouldn't want it in my soil and it would quickly cause problems in a hydroponic system.
