Yes! That’s what I do. I make a freezer bag full and put it in the freezer. I drain the machine, wipe out the extra water, leave the lid open to help air dry the rest of it. I haven’t had any mold issues.

Q: Will this keep my ice frozen if it is warm in the room it is in, like 85 degrees?

Yes, the ice that comes out at the beginning will be easier to melt. After a while, there will be more ice cubes.

Q: Is the nugget ice maker quiet?

Ours is quite and doesn't disturb us at all. We have an open floor plan between our kitchen, dining room and living room and it can be running and not disturb our TV watching.
