Well these do exactly what they are meant to do this is my second pair
These do exactly what they are meant to do. They're my second pair though these are not the most expensive. Which for me is perfect seeing that I can still communicate with my team while using them. I can't explain other users issues but for me they do the job just like any other earpro I've used in the past present and will use in the future. Otherwise I can promise that I would not have bought these a second time and it's just that simple! They work and work well enough to be used for training

They work!
They work pretty decent for running cheap coms with your buddys, they arnt super well in the hearing protection aspect but not bad at all worth the money!

Better than expected
Ordered these for some cheap comms, and honestly am surprised by them. The ambient passthrough cuts off too low imo, ran into them cutting off while just talking, but beyond that they definitely exceed my expectations. The ptt is higher quality than I was expecting, the audio from my radio is honestly pretty good for something that's intended just for comms, mic is clearly understandable. I can even fit them under my pasgts ear cups. All in all, quite surprised by the overall quality for a "reproduction" headset.Probably would want to double up hearing protection to be safe if one were to try and use for live fire. Gel cups might solve the seal issue, but I haven't put any on yet. But for the intended use of some cheap comms, they fit the role quite nicely.Only rated a 4/5 as the ambient cutoff is a bit low imo. If I could do a half star, I would.

Read before passing on these!!!!!
Before you get upset that you got screwed and write a bad review..... the Le wood connector has to be trimmed down on one side to fit the Baofeng UV-5R. Then the PTT will work just fine. I thought mine was broken until I read about 20 reviews all saying to trim the edge to fit the radio. After the trimming (so easy a caveman could do it) it works perfect. No forced pins to get the PTT to work now. If you have ever used real Comtacs, or any other operator worthy headsets, these are not them. They are however worth every penny and then some for the price tag. I have shot all the way up to a 7mm mag with these on and they do reduce loud noises. Not gun range quality ear protection but it does provide a substantial amount of protection. Worth the buy, glad they have a hardcase with foam inserts, too. Nice to be able to stack gear with it and not have to worry about damaging the headset. Don’t listen to all of the reviews about it not fitting and working right. It initially will be too wide to plug in all of the way. Trim the edge of the kenwood pin housing down and reinsert. It works perfect after the slight mod. Chords are thick and feel pretty hardy and durable. They get four stars instead of 5 because they weren’t flawless in fitting from the factory and had to be slightly modified. It was shipped to me quickly and safely. PTT is dense plastic which is good for weight reduction but not the durable metal casing of my previous PTT. Also the image shows a camo headband. I didn’t receive one. Just a black headband. But you will want a cover for it anyway, so it didn’t matter much to me. Enjoy the buy. They are a great investment and the electrical quality is pretty damn good for the price. If you are going to be doing a lot of live fire training or shooting on the range a lot, I would save for the real deal. I only say that because I don’t know how long the mics/speakers can take loud blasts before damaging or breaking entirely. So far, no issues down range.

Good quality for price;might have a defective pair
These have a premium build to them and a good amount of weight. They’re almost exact replicas of my Peltors. I haven’t worn them when shooting real steel, because try as I might, I can’t get them to turn on to have the noise cancellation function. I’ve replaced the battery and everything. There isn’t really any customer support that I can see of. Other than that, I connected these just fine to my Baofeng uv-5r and have had no trouble hearing audio output.

Arrived broken
Was expecting way better quality than what I got, the headset I received arrived with the mike attachment to the headset broken so now the mic just flies everywhere and there’s not stay still and the battery covers were also chipped from the sides that help you pull it out so now I can’t even change the batteries 🤦♂️

These work just fine as advertised but you have to trim down the 2 pin plug just slightly in order to fully seat the plug
I read all the reviews before I bought this item and I found the review by Patrick Deno the best. As soon as I received the headset I tried out the 2 pin plug into the Boafeng radio and had the same problem as Patrick. It occurs with programming plugs also. You have to trim down one edge of the plug in order to seat the plug fully into the radio. I trimmed it immediately, installed the batteries and tested the unit. It worked fine as advertised. It is not an $800 head set so don't make the mistake to compare it to one. It is worth every cent I paid for it however. I'll sets these at the range to determine their ability to defeat high decibel noise from gun shots. Overall, I am recommending these if you are maybe prepping for use with a handheld radio comms with your team while running and gunning.
