Old fashioned romantic story from the end of the 19th century. The plot is not breath-taking, since the romance is the central issue. The way it ends is its best advantage. As i am not an English, i found rather hilarious that an English genlteman, frivolous and rather useless in his own country was proved far superior to any Ruritanian, so that Flavia could only adore him! Overall, i think it was a nice reading, definitely not fascinating.
